They’re still agender [They/She/He] but I will use they mostly for them but I will interchange pronouns dw. The story is your typical jade rabbit story, and now they were sent to the earth to take care of the mid autumn festivals and the moon festivals + a bunch of other junk. I’m planning to make the goddess they worked under canonically Chang’e though, making her one of the moon daughters of MiM for world building. Their face was scarred by some jealous spirits, it has a permanent mark and burn somewhere too. They have 6 kids who are moon rabbits from different cultures, they’re based off ricecakes from their respective countries.
Their personality has changed too, instead of an edgelord they’re just clueless about the current era and can be finicky since they’re a baba (that’s what their kids call them), but their monotone way of speaking and bluntness make them seem rude and arrogant sometimes (see: Giyuu Tomioka from demon slayer) they’re just kinda socially awkward and slightly insecure. They’re also very likely depressed, hence their isolation (their backstory will tell more I’m lazy to type it out)
Anyways they live in their own realm with their children, where the moon gifted them a jade palace on land. Their companions, also gifted by the moon, are known as stardust bunnies- you can only travel to their realm with the help of these stardust bunnies. They’re usually found in East Asian countries though.
I’ll add more info as I drop more lore through posts ig

They’re heavy androgynous now and they have 6 kids now! They’re all based off the moon rabbit myths of different cultures
To answer questions:
No we don’t know if Yùtù had a mate or not
Yes they just left for a day and came back after popping out 6 kids
Don’t ask me anymore everything else is a mystery

Anyways I’m planning to do some silly panels with them and Bunny, Bunny being forced (because the logic was ‘rabbit + rabbit = easier help’ LMAO) to help them learn about stuff as they isolated themselves for most of their years on earth to try and raise their kids. Sooo uhhh stay tuned for that. I will update my pinned post for them
Scene: Yùtù sitting with Bunny with some eggnog while Jack is showing off some tricks to the other guardians, wearing a new (sorta ugly) hoodie and a new flute
Yùtù: Listen, the hoodie by itself is fine. But the hoodie, plus the flute, plus the stupid dance? The kid will die a virgin
Bunny beside the quite distressed rabbit snorts, almost spilling the eggnog all over him
How Jack met my OC, the Jade Rabbit. A pretty medium long story so enjoy reading lol
Fandom: Rise of the guardians
Characters: Jack Frost [50 years after spirit forming], Yùtù [Jade Rabbit OC]
Slight warning: This contains very much creative liberties with my own oc and very much additional world building, I have NOT read any of the books yet only know backstory spoilers from people discussing it. If you’re a very much ‘oh, this wouldn’t make sense with the canon because ____’ type of person stressing over those then I think you might not like this story; so I advise not to interact with it 😅

Jack didn’t know what to do when he landed on China by accident.
What? The wind is unpredictable, and he’s still learning how NOT to crash. He rubbed his head, groaning and slowly getting up and fixing his coat. It’s been about.. 50 years since he’s become a spirit- and he’s gotten the hang of this ‘spreading winter’ thing. It was a nice job, keeping him distracted at least. It’s just the wind that’s become a struggle to control; its like it has its own personality and Jack hasn’t gotten it’s trust yet- and it’s always so unpredictable
I suppose he is as well, but he’s not going to admit that out loud. He grabbed his staff, clutching it close to him. He’s not sure where he is right now- He’s super bad with geography anyways so it didn’t matter; all he knew he was in a dense forest, somewhere in this country.
“Okay… this was not where I was supposed to go- wind! Take me home!”
He called out to the sky, only to not get a response. Was it mad at him for calling it moody earlier? It’s not his fault that it’s true! He grumbled to himself, kicking a few rocks here and there as he decided to walk in the green forest. He looked around, the forest was dark but the hares there had a golden glow that gave him a bit of light to show him the way- well, you can’t exactly call them hares in the spirit world anyways. The humans saw them as hares, all spirits saw them as these tiny, dusty bunnies that glow with a backpack on them. Last he remembered a spirit addressed them as ‘stardust bunnies’. They were practically all across the globe, tons of them keeping him company when he was lonely.
He waved to them, the little glowing fellas blinking as they carefully watched him walking. A few of them started to crowd up and run the opposite direction, making the frost boy confused. Suddenly, a whole pile of them started to run past him, and he started to panic as he held his balance, the ground starting to rumble quite rapidly.
“What the- what’s going on-?”
He said, trying to hold himself as he looked at the direction the rabbits were heading, still confused. He mumbled some annoyed words under his mouth, putting his staff on his shoulder before hearing a low snarl behind him. His breath hitched, unable to move as his eyes were wide. Just when he got his strength, he slowly looked behind him- looking at a shadowy form of a creature. Jack couldn’t see much due to the darkness, but he could feel the shadows pouring out from it, pooling around him, and sent a shiver up his spine. It had only a few solid parts, but it included long, sharp knife like claws that were gripping into the ground, making holes that were deep. It was tall, massively towering over the winter spirit, straw like hair covering all around it, the four horns on top of it spiralling and tangling with one another.
Jack backed slightly, gripping his staff to get ready to shoot it with some ice, but he immediately froze again as its shadowy mouth open, a grimy, slime-like white tongue extending out of it’s long face, like a rope. Jack felt… disgusting, unable to move as it inched towards him, his hands trembling- as if he was paralysed. What the hell? Why can’t he move? Is he going to die now? Is this thing going to kill him?
Just as he was pondering, a sudden SLAM was heard above him, a high pitch squeal heard from the creature as a boulder was slammed onto its tongue, making the beast go down, squealing in pain. Jack finally was able to move out of his fear induced position, gasping for breath as he tumbled back, holding his head as he gained his consciousness back.
“You’re the biggest pain in the ass when The Hunt comes, you always somehow slip away”
Jack looked up again once he got his bearings, a large rabbit standing on top of the creature. Their size would rival the creature that overwhelmed him earlier- which was currently down, squirming- only to have its tongue sliced as it yelled, fading into dust.
Jack blinked, looking back at the large rabbit who was holding a spear, before they looked at him. He quickly took his staff back into his hand in a defensive position, backing away. He had heard about them from all the spirits nearby- a warrior that lived in the forest; they were known to be ruthless, merciless and that if you encounter them you should pray that you make it out alive. That’s why Jack barely came here, taking their words a bit too seriously. But the rabbit didn’t get intimidated, walking up to him casually as Jack was about to freeze the floor they walked on.
“You dropped in at a bad time. It’s the day of The Hunt.”
That caught Jack off guard, slowly putting his staff away as he looked at them confused. Aren’t they… supposed to attack him? Shouldn’t he be fighting for his life?
“…The Hunt?”
He slowly asked as the rabbit looked back, summoning their spear away. They wore thick armour with jades and moon patterns on it, and a helmet that hid their face away- the only thing that really made Jack know they were a rabbit were her large ears protruding out of it, covered in more jade.
“The Hunt is a time where I exterminate the manifesting evil spirits.”
The rabbit kept on walking ahead, trampling over foliage like it didn’t matter. Jack was following the path they were creating; momentarily forgetting that he shouldn’t be interacting with them. He looked around, finding it brighter as the stardust bunnies came back to illuminate the forest. They came to a clearing, the rabbit looking up and pointing at the moon.
“You see that? It is the New Moon phase.”
Jack looked up at the dark moon, barely visible as he blinked. He hadn’t notice this, what happened to Manny? He gripped his staff, slightly worried.
“It’s a regular moon phase that happens every month, Man in the Moon is alright”
As if they had read his mind, they had assured him that the moon was alright as they walked through more foliage, but it already had a path made by her.
“When the new moon occurs, Man in the Moon is resting. Evil spirits then find this opportunity to emerge due to the moon not shining bright. They first come in shadowy forms, before eventually forming a physical form. Usually their main body parts they use to attack form the fastest, therefore it’s needed to end them before it can form.”
The rabbit said, Jack trying to keep up with them- he had so many questions he wanted to ask, but it was going too fast, even for him.
“So I was attacked by an evil spirit being formed?”
Jack asked slowly, the rabbit nodding as they went under a tree branch, still walking ahead as Jack made sure to follow the foliage path they were making.
“Correct. You were attacked by an Aoyin. They usually live in the western mountains, but to form they must start here because the darkness is more prominent; the ‘spawn point’ you can call it”
The rabbit explained, stopping as Jack bumped into them, rubbing his head as he gave a little ‘ow’. Armour hurts, but hey at least you know it’s protective. He looked past them, to see a jade arrow lodged into what seems like a cavern of shadows flowing out of it, before it slowly faded.
“Oh.. so I’m guessing that… thing that was running came from this…?”
Jack walked over and prodded at the shadowy hole, tilting his head. It just looked like a regular hole now, who knew what it looked like when it was filled with these evil spirits.
“Huh, that thing must have had some paralysing powers- I barely could move”
He snorted, but the rabbit shook their head, summoning a hammer as they pounded the jade arrow deeper into the hole, making Jack flinch and back away.
“No. The domain of shadows currently belongs to the spirit of fear, so the amount of shadow energy contained into the creature spiked your fear to an unimaginable level. That’s why my helmet is made sure to make me unable to see”
The rabbit explained, pointing to their helmet. It was mostly covering their face, as Jack noted before. He thought it was just a design choice, not that it was useful.
“I use my other senses to find and hunt, and then I exterminate them; there are 6 places in the entire world that I handle them from. 3 are dedicated to the western regions and 3 are to the the eastern. I take 2 days to hunt them all.”
They said calmly as they made sure the jade arrow was wedged, the jade slowly dissipating and turning into the earth, as if the hole was never there. Jack’s eyes sparkled, stunned by all this before he paused and looked up at them.
“…what happens if you don’t hunt them?”
He asked slowly as the rabbit looked down at him, and he could see a hint of a night sky blue staring right at him as they huffed.
“Then they will eat the humans alive”
Jack swallowed a lump in his throat as the rabbit put a hammer over their shoulder, walking off as Jack quickly got up and followed them.
“Wait, why would you tell me all this?”
He quickly asked as the rabbit stopped, their ears pointed up and twitching. They slowly looked back at him, and Jack felt like he had said the wrong thing
“…Why? Why I’d tell you all this?”
They said as they turned around, squatting down to his level (holy shit they’re massive, he thought rabbits could only go as big as the Easter bunny) and looked at him dead, even if he couldn’t see their eyes they could feel their piercing gaze.
“…because you westerner spirits don’t leave my damn domain unless I tell you everything straight.”
Jack paused, a bit surprised at the annoyed, almost comical tone the serious warrior had, their feet thumping slightly like an angry bunny. He had the urge to snort, but he didn’t have a good reputation with bunnies anyways so he didn’t want to mess it up.
“Now shoo. Don’t bother coming here anymore, the spirits warn you don’t they? I’m ruthless, I could kill you anytime.”
They said, making a ‘shooing’ motion with her paws. The way they delivered the last sentence sounded like they were annoyed and tired, so Jack didn’t take it too seriously as he walked towards them again.
“No, I wanna know more about ‘The Hunt’ and the evil spirits! You think I could exterminate them too?”
His eyes shimmered a bit, as if he had found his purpose instead of being lonely for so long, but the large rabbit just sighed, rubbing their eyes as they shook their head.
“No. It’s a me thing only, you should really be heading back. The Hunt is Dangerous and I need to travel”
They said as they clapped their paws, before stardust bunnies hopped behind Jack, swirling around before opening a star shaped portal behind him. Jack looked at it and then quickly at the rabbit who was pushing him into it.
“W-wait I wanna know more- and why do people spread rumours about you like th-“
“Shoo. Go. Spread winter. Or spend time with the humans… I guess. I don’t know why you spirits like that so much”
They said, ignoring Jack’s protests. Jack was unable to get out of the warrior’s grip as he tumbled into the portal, fortunately landing in the land of Burgess.
“H-hey wait a second-“
Jack said as he tried to get up and run back to the portal where the rabbit was waving, only for it to close as he tumbled and fell first. He laid on the ground for a few seconds, before rolling on his back and staring at the sky. He thought for a bit, humming as he put his hands behind his head.
“…They’re cool. All those spirits were wrong”
He said to himself. He has now acquired a new person to bother.
——————
“The boy will eventually come back, the weather spirits love to persist often..”
Yùtù mumbled as they clapped their paws again, the stardust bunnies forming another star portal. They rubbed their eyes, inhaling before looking back at the portal.
“Well, time to finish The Hunt before he comes to bother”
They sighed, fixing their helmet and hopping into the star portal, the stardust bunnies turning into dust- and the forest stayed quiet as it usually was.

When it was discovered that Zalim (ironically meaning, cruel) was in the company of two very young cubs, those at Ranthambore feared the worst: that, as an adult male, he would kill them. Instead, he surprised naturalists with his “motherly” behavior when he took in his twin daughters following the death of their mother.
At this time, science stated that tigers were only as social as mothers and cubs could go and that tiger fathers rarely interacted with their offspring. Zalim changed that when he was witnessed, month after month, caring for his daughters and teaching them how to hunt. Their relationship eventually ceased when the two girls were shifted to Sariska Tiger Reserve and Zalim went on to father another litter with the then-dominant tigress Sundari, the so-called Lady of the Lakes. When she too mysteriously disappeared, Zalim unsurprisingly took care of their cubs as well.

“If I had a nickel for every time a bunny was lowkey irritated at me, I’d have two nickels! Which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it happened twice right?”
—Jack probably
Yùtù being called a monster and a ruthless exterminator didn’t deter this frosty boy oh no, he somehow more-so resonated with her being outcasted and lonely for years, trying to make convo whenever he drops by to warn her for the upcoming winter in China
being in a small fandom is like being given a bone, chewing on it until you're done with it, burying it in your backyard, and then digging that same chewed up bone months later to continue chewing on it, and then the cycle just repeats.
this is especially true for small fandoms that you know won't be getting any new content, so you just have to consume the content you've already consumed thousands of times before.
