Imagine being non black, and calling Obama an oppressor on par with Thomas Jefferson. Imagine not caring about the school being named after a slaver and pulling this.
Here's why it matters.
It's his usual Deep Thoughts.

Thinking about how the main argument against Black Superman is, "These Black characters already exist!"
Yeah, okay, but there are a billion white superheroes too. I wish people would just come out and say they're just afraid of their comics getting too Black.
Whenever someone brings up the tiny amount of black characters that DC has I always ask them about them. It's telling how they won't have a single mention of these black characters on their blogs, it's like they just checked a Wikipedia article on black characters and copy and pasted some random names.
They dont want black superman but they're fine with a director spending so much money on reshoots that its practically a new movie.
Also having black superman also misses the fact that most people don't read comics, and most of the people that do dont read comics led by black characters which is why white characters will sometimes get "black washed".
Plus most of these characters are generic white dude bros who have no connection to any culture since white people have divorced themselves from their cultures in order to be assimilated into whiteness while you also have characters like spider-man who's fully masked so saying that these characters should stay white makes absolutely no fucking sense.
I have no problem with black superman. However, people should be aware that there's already existing black supermen that aren't Clark Kent. A movie about steel would be dope because he carried the superman mantle and he's a badass character, rather than Clark Kent.
Like, I'm still waiting for these dumbfucks at Hollywood to bring up blue marvel, but they're too focused on recoloring the other guys. I understand that a majority of comicbook black characters (both canon and original) are greatly underused and most likely lesser known than the white ones, but it shouldn't be a problem for a black character to carry the superman mantle. For instance, we have black green lanterns (John Stewart and Sojourner Mullein), A black Wonderwoman (Nubia), a black captain Marvel (Monica Rambeau), and a black captain America. If we can have black characters carrying those mantles, then we can have a black superman.
Yes there's already a black superman but most people don't know that cuz most people don't read comics. And most people who do read comics don't invest in black characters.
Plus most of these characters are generic white dude bros who have no cultural ties to anything since white Americans divorced themselves from their own cultures in order to be assimilated into whiteness, while some characters like spider-man are fully masked, so having these characters stay white all the really doesn't make any sense.
What specific characters are dude bros now???
Superman, Batman, and like about 90% of other American superheroes created in the last 80 years. Do I really need to spell it out for you?
Chill man, no need for that. I just wanna know what you meant, nothing else.
But i'm serious tho. Like it makes no sense that characters that were created by heterosexual white dudes need to stay heterosexual white dudes especially when the make up overwhelming majority of characters in all of American comics.
Let women (who don't don't aryan feminist bullshit, exclude disabled, nor women of the lbgtq+ out), poc, disabled, lbgtqia, and other minorities write superhero characters that aren't caucasian characters
This suggests there is an equal playing field in the creative industries that don't prevent people from creating their own stories and characters...which is why you're getting pushback.
What do you mean now??
What I mean is that there are ADDED obstacles for Black creators that are not present for white creators. You're working on the matter suggests otherwise.
You're not wrong, It's difficult for black creatives to get work around the comic industry, even if they're independent.
Well, that is the reason myself and others defend the idea of Black Superman. Superman is an established popular character and making him Black would normalize our presence in these stories. Pushback against Black creators could be minimized if our presence was more normalized. Want a Static Shock movie? Want a Black Lightning movie? Cool! So do we. Allow for the possibility of a Black Superman.
Iâm like 99% sure I agree with you but this is a lot of words so I want to make sure I understand.
What your saying, as I understand it, is along the lines of: if you make a white mainstream character like Superman black, it will open the door for more movies about black characters who already exist and draw attention to them, and since him being white isnât plot relevant to begin with, it wonât detract from the story or the character at all, but will actually bring a new layer of interest, and appeal to an additional demographic.
Does that about sum it up, or am I way off base?
Nope! That's exactly what I was saying. đ
Iâm the wrong person to argue with about Syria or any of that. Take that up with Joe Biden; not Black and Brown Americans, ya daft ass dumbfucks.
Same goes with any Black and Brown Americans. Work on that antiblackness in your own countries before this faux ass outrage about Syria and quit thinking all America is is a bunch of white people living here.
And many of yâall will definitely go â BLM!â and â SAHâ in the same fuckin time while speaking on shit you didnât bother to look the fuck up.
Question:
Why do non-Americans find school shooting jokes to be funny?
Itâs baffling they think itâs some sort of â gotchaâ and not them making light of these violent situations.
And they pull it out over a simple little joke. We could be like "The British Empire colonized half the globe and still can't cook for shit." And they'd respond "At least we don't use high schoolers for target practice." And think they won, no fool, you're fucking sick.
Also that attempt at an incest joke when the entire royal family is distantly related to their spouses
Many Non Americans are so ignorant of current events in the US. And it shows in how they elect to prioritize who's concerns matter and the level of blatant misinformation they share just because they can't be bothered to listen to a marginalized American that doesn't agree with them.
So black people have some kind of "visibility privilege", but still face the majority of hate crimes, police brutality, and violent racist opposition to any protest that is even remotely seen as supportive of black people. And again, people still are killing us and getting away with it and folks aren't sure if murdering us counts as a crime. Right.

Killing "imperfect" black people is still murder. We shouldn't have to keep saying this but folks don't get it.
if ur dealing to the people on the left youâd just say â$45 a gramâ and theyd be like âyeah bro sure dude i gotchu thats legitness ur the manâ but the ppl on the right u gotta finesse like âmy normal price is $15 a g but this stuff is called Cosmic Throat Cum Squirt Haze so the lowest i can go is $50âł and theyd b like âwow⌠so cultured⌠i cant wait to smoke this out of my native american themed bongâŚâ

Do y'all not remember the russian spies that plagued tumblr??
this site has been on a noticeable decline from the moment they expunged the russian chaos agents
Tumblr had what
I like how the consensus on this site was that despite being a constant dumpster fire of failure, the one thing the admins were able to successfully figure out was an international espionage ring orchestrated from the kremlin as opposed to thinking maybe, just maybe, they banned a bunch of funny black people because hillary ate shit in 2016
uhhhhh no this really happened and it was not a conspiracy to ban a bunch of funny black people, unless you mean the fake black people the troll accounts posed (source: npr)Â asÂ
additional sources:Â https://www.wired.com/story/tumblr-russia-trolls-propaganda/Â https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2018/mar/24/tumblr-says-russia-used-it-for-fake-news-during-2016-election
Itâs really fucking weird that people are pretending this didnât happen.
I can specifically speak about lagonegirl as I was a follower. They never spoke to their followers. Their posts all had a similar format to Vox posts at the time. They would leave a written funny comment on their posts turns out those were taken from Twitter users and written out like it was their own words. The many popular Black tumblr users rebloged the posts and added more funny comments and post would get widely shared.
Iâm starting to wonder if this is a new Russian scam. Get people to belief it didnât happen so they can do it again.
having sorted through the replies on this post, there are two camps:
1. people saying yes, russian psyops on social media accounts were totally a thing. they copied real content (which could be traced back to their original sources) but edited and modified in ways that helped them shape the conversation in the direction that served their purpose.  source: here are 5 sources documenting it
2. people saying no, russian psyops was never a thing. uhhhh, duh! pfff, you believed that? cringe. OBVIOUSly fake.Â
More like a site that is notorious for finding excuses to purge black activist tags suddenly managed to find "Russian psypops accounts" that were almost all black people, based on laughable evidence and supported by bloggers who had been called out for antiblackness in the past. These accounts were only accused of being Russian bots months after Hillary lost to Trump. And many people were accused of being psyops accounts just for having a history of criticizing Hillary or police brutality and many had a long history of sharing pro black news.
People are rightfully skeptical and it's kind of silly to try to erase the racial implications of what happens and the actual context in order to make it seem likewe are just a bunch of gullible tumblr users who can't decipher. The fact that folks want to act like that is what is happening but won't admit to being gullible enough to believe every black blogger was a Russian bot just because Tumblr said so is kind of off putting.
The truth was that there were likely some trolls but it wasn't the investigative breakthrough people claim it was and folks were calling out how suspect this was back when it happened because it was less about actual Russian bots as much as it was about how they scapegoated and delegitimized an entire community of black bloggers, undid years of online activism, and now you can't even be black and call out someone's favorite politician without folks accusing you of being a bot. Meanwhile the same folks who were okay with how this happened were sharing links from actual white supremacist websites disguised as progressive sites without even the slightest bit of vetting.
Trump's budget tried to zero out the $15 million of DOJ's Community Relations Service, which works on the nation's most intense flashpoints
Itâs best to avoid the articles that just tries to put Black Lives Matter against Stop Asian Hate because theyâre literally designed to just add negative bullshit and not address why this is happening. Not enough talking about how white supremacy is the problem.
And stay away from people who wanna make this into â if I did X then YOU should do Yâ. Those types just are not even here for the actual movement and wanna cause drama. Avoid them too.
One can support both. We know racism and homophobia is wrong at the same time so definitely try and protect your mental health and do some avoiding if you have to.
To add, these articles are designed to make one forget the horrible crimes that happened and make it into some weird competition when it isnât.
These are horrible crimes. Plain and simple, and to shift attention into this weird empathy contest isnât right at all.
I just think no one should even bother entertaining these type of articles because itâs not right to use empathy over a tragedy and twist it into BLM vs SAH. Donât even click them. Let those clickbait articles remain free floating online with no acknowledgement at all.

Youâd think the Democrats would be on top of trying to stop Republicans doing a bunch of voter suppression but Iâm sure itâll be something to dangle in front of Americans when midterm season comes around.
It actually really frustrates me how voter suppression isn't a priority for liberals or leftists, even with the history of Black voting rights and it's ties to civil rights or the fact that white Republicans are using police violence to dissuade any kind of black resistance to this law. And a lot of leftists will go on about "well they shouldn't be voting anyways, they should be organizing" as if black people didn't have to organize and sacrifice lives to vote in the first place and these new laws are actually dissolving the progress black people organized for, and it's not just about voting. They ignore the fact that Jim Crow started with the violent removal of black voting access and the arrest black politicians.
They really expect black people to deal with this, power through it and show up, face all of the backlash and abuse from local government, and still manage help them win their elections or join their protests.
State Rep. Park Cannon, a Black woman, was arrested and accused of obstruction after protesting a bill that makes it harder for Georgians to
It's starting again. Kemp did this before, about 10 years ago, Georgia charged at least ten black people either felonies because they were mad at the amount of black people voting in a school board election. This is how they will intimidate black voters on a massive scale.
