I will not let you go

“I think the most beautiful form of love in this world is one-sided love. It’s purity can’t be defined, it’s level of selflessness and unimaginable affection will eternally remain unmatched. I’ll tell you why.

It’s so easy to love someone when you know you’re getting equally repaid by them for your efforts. Someone is reciprocating your feelings and investing equal amount of love, energy, time and effort just like you are. Think of it this way. When you work in a well paid company, it’s common sense to pour your full potential into it and give it your all to make things perfect. Your effort is logical and your dedication is justified because you are GOING TO GET REWARDED for your actions. However, will you be willing to work in a shabby run down company and shred your blood, sweat and tears knowing you will GET ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in return? Can you still choose to sacrifice your well being immersing yourself into a job that won’t even provide you the bare minimum like your food and shelter, keeping the whole wage aside that’s completely zero. But if you still choose to do it, it’s because you are in 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚 with the job and so, you are gonna keep selflessly giving your best with no outcome in return.

That’s how one sided love works to me you see. You give it your all everyday, knowing you’re not gonna get anything in return. You REALIZE that when you’re foolishly spending your days writhing in pain and falling in love with them, you are paving your own way to hell. You perfectly can visualise and FEEL yourself being crushed by the 𝙬𝙚𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙤𝙬𝙣 𝙚𝙢𝙤𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨. Not many people can continue bearing unrequited love. So many people give up and that’s totally logical. But the people who don’t aren’t “stupid” or “dumb”. You need to understand they’ve walked into a road with no directions to come back to. They don’t have a single idea what their lives used to be like before that significant person came into their lives. They are stuck between a maze with no memories of life before, entangled between overflowing emotions and cruel reality. You need to plaster this into your head-𝙛𝙚𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙡𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙥𝙚𝙤𝙥𝙡𝙚 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙣𝙤 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙡 𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧.

If someone is loving you despite you NOT acknowledging their feelings, please treasure their emotions. The love that they’re feeling for you is the most genuine form of affection you will 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧 receive. Its magical, beyond this world’s comprehension. Its okay if you can’t return their feelings. But please, 𝙥𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙚 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙘𝙩 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙢 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙫𝙖𝙡𝙪𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙟𝙚𝙬𝙚𝙡𝙨. Because someone willingly chose dying slowly for the sake of your happiness. Someone is praying for you to smile even when they are left with nothing but self harm because it just ℎ𝑢𝑟𝑡𝑠 seeing you love someone the way they love 𝑦𝑜𝑢.
