Sugared Drinks-Coffee
I found this one very interesting as someone who drinks coffee often. Used to be a 💫💵girl who loved caramel macchiato! Granted their drinks are not as bad as dunking diabetes, and watching reels or tikytoks if you know you know!
To be honest since I have made my household to an ingredient one I have collected a couple of things in order to make coffee. For instance a moka pot, percolator, and a manual dripper. Which has made drinking coffee more fulfilling, because it tastes cleaner and not fucking burnt to hell. I don't really do creamers anymore since it fucks with my calorie counting, but half & half goes a long way or just milk. I am a bit of a plain jane now when it comes to coffee, and I think it is due to not having an excess amount of sugar anymore. Since stevia or other substitute sugars are available. I can use sugar still, but usually when I make a syrup that I am craving. (Lavender/blueberry syrup)

Anti-diet dietitians are always telling us it’s okay to give into our cravings and eat bags of chips or order the side of fries because “our bodies need carbs”. Do you know what else is made of carbs? Berries. Carrots. Brussel sprouts. Sweet potato. And yet a lot of us have rarely experienced an extreme desire to wolf down a whole carton of blueberries.
When you only crave very specific carbs… maybe it’s not carbs you are craving. Maybe it’s the specific combination of salt fat and sugar being added to your ultra-processed snack foods
Remember a few years ago when it was revealed that a bunch of online dietitians were secretly being paid by big junk food companies to promote eating junk? I sure do.
Food companies have literally poured BILLIONS into making their food as addictive as possible. You aren't "sticking it to society" when you eat a bag of chips as an overweight person, you're doing exactly as they want. If you really want to stick it to "society" or "the rich" limit processed carbs, drink water instead of pop, eat high value foods, and walk instead of drive when it's available.

i want to share this comment i made because i think the sentiment is important
face your fears & reality, it will only make you stronger. build up your window of tolerance, it will make the discomfort more manageable.
HAES should not be core to your recovery journey. The reality of it is that the movement itself scares people with EDs because it is unhealthy. You are doing your community a disservice by uplifting HAES and fat liberation as 'what recovery looks like'. Furthermore, you're going to see full body mirrors, calories on your menus, ads for Ozempic. To me and how i was taught, part of recovery is just facing all this shit head on. Does it make you uncomfortable? You feel like you need to lapse? That's going to happen, i'm sorry, but you've got to let go of trying to control other people in the name of 'recovery'.
Anti-HAES, to me, is a pro-health movement. Everyone i've observed, while some rather harsh like myself, is arguing for making proper decisions for your health. Many criticize Sk1nnytok, like Honey Bison. We don't want you smaller. We want you healthy. Naturally, ''Every Size'' does not come out of healthy habits, and selling this movement to An0rexics of all people is fucking wild! many of us believed we were healthy at our body's worst health. This is not okay, and shouldn't be the blueprint for recovery.
When you trap yourself in an echo chamber of fellow disordered people, it is understandable that another may feel like 'the answer'. but it's not. You are capable of finding the middle ground. It is scary, super fucking scary to navigate, but you are capable of it. face ur discomfort my friends, the E D will win otherwise. you are capable.
The way that USAmericans say they are ‘literally starving’ when they are literally eating and / or ordering food needs to be studied
