Kiss (Jasmin), Stress (Stefan) & Cupboard (Sirius)
KISS
Evan found it hard to fall asleep that night. He couldnât quite figure out why people were asking him about Jasmin; wasnât she his cousinâs friend? It didnât make sense, particularly seeing as people seemed to think there was something there. He knew there wasnât anything, heâd remember if there was. Plus, he barely knew her. Yet his mind kept drifting to her as he slowly slipped away to sleep.
And oh boy were those dreams... entertaining, to say the least.
Heâd blame it on the fact she was pretty - because she really was - and how heâd been asked about her a lot lately. But even as he woke, he could still clearly remember those dreams, he could almost still feel her lips on his. Or at least, how he imagined itâd feel. But it was odd, he had a boyfriend, he shouldnât find himself thinking about this so much. So he tried to shake that thought off his mind.
At least, until he saw her in the Great Hall not too long after, and the memory came back to him. No, this had to be only because she was pretty. There wasnât anything more to it, was it?
STRESS
Fingers tapped repeatedly against the table in the Great Hall, frown on his face. While heâd originally been excited to find out he had a brother, it wasnât long until that left. He was still quite excited, but he was scared, and stressed about it. Heâd barely told anyone, mostly because he wasnât sure how theyâd react. And he wasnât sure what that would mean for Wyatt once they knew. Certainly, his uncle would not enjoy this fact, and he couldnât imagine his aunt being happy about it either. But he knew they were meant to find it out sooner or later, and it scared him. All he wanted to do was to take his brother and keep him safe from the world, but he couldnât do that.
Instead, he was stuck trying to figure out how to break it to his family without causing them too much harm or trouble. And nothing he thought of seemed to be of much help. And thatâs how he ended up sitting there, fingers tapping the wood, his cup of tea still untouched. It took a moment until he finally stood up, leaving the cup behind. He needed to talk to someone, but he couldnât throw it all on Gideon. Not to mention, he wasnât sure he could really relate to how complicated the situation was. And then his mind drifted to the one person that could help: Stefan. He knew he could trust him, they had each otherâs backs, and even if he couldnât quite help him with the situation, maybe heâd be able to make him feel a little less stressed.
CUPBOARD
Evan squinted his eyes as he stared at the overly filled cupboard. His head tilted slightly to the side, obvious confusion on his face. He wasnât sure what Sirius wanted him to do with it: was he expected to reorganize it or just... clean it up. Because if it was the latter, heâd have no problem burning the content of that cupboard. Everything seemed old, and quite frankly, it looked like trash. Well, those werenât his anyway, so heâd probably better just clean it up a little.Â
He moved in to grab a first box from the top, only for a photograph to slip off it and towards the ground. A frown pulled on his face as he picked it up, and it wasnât long until he recognized the faces on it. It was them, it was their family. And surely, he was there, tucked on his motherâs laps. They all were, and for a moment, he let his fingers linger on the picture. Everything was so much easier when they were still kids, but they couldnât go back now.
So he put the picture aside as he moved out everything that was in the cupboard. While his original thought had been to burn it all, he didnât want to do that anymore. Instead, he placed everything back in more strategic places. It looked better, slightly. Definitely less dusty, and it felt like there was more space now. But it wasnât ready yet. Picking back up the picture, he stared at it for another long moment before sticking it on the door. If it was only for him, heâd frame it and place it on the wall. But this wasnât his house, he wasnât going to take that decision for him.Â
