Images from the visual story-piece by the New York Times, expanding on a case that initially came to my attention at the start of the year.
This brings to mind a recent blog I posted about using a ‘ball in cup’ analogy to describe the significant, and irreversible, changes in our environment being caused by human pressures and drivers on our Earth system- undermining local and regional ecosystems by surpassing the limits that the planet is able to self-regulate itself. Is Lake Poopó a case in point?
