Green as wildfire

I'm Team Green, yes, because I think they were right, Aegon is the rightful heir, a better king + they're more interesting, Aegon is my favourite character. So like...yeah, why shouldn't I be Team Green? I was on their side even before the show.

Who could have thought that things would come to this, HÁ!

Like so many people are so excited for him to die, when he hasn't really done anything worse, then Daemon and Daemon has way more power.

People are upset about him calling Rhaenrya a bitch/cunt, but Daemon did the same to his first wife, and worse. He also killed her! He's just as violent as Criston, just as much a misogynistic ass, and unlike Criston, he gets his heroic death.

I also think it's wrong how little people criticize the north men for the Butchers Ball. Sure, don't give Criston his hero moment, I guess, but they straight up slaughtered men who wanted to surrender. I know it's not a modern war, but if team black can use modern feminist standards to shame Alicent I think it's fair to call Rhaenryas/Cragen's army out for commiting a huge ass war crime. They could have killed Criston with arrows, then let his men surrender like they wanted--there was no need to murder them.

RACISM!

Racism can absolutely affect how audiences perceive actors of color playing characters, especially in fantasy where people have strong ideas about what certain characters "should" look like. A lot of poc actors playing roles that were traditionally imagined as white or silver-haired fantasy characters can face harsher scrutiny, while white actors playing those same types of characters are given more automatic acceptance. Just look at the way people reacted to the Velaryons being played by poc. The amount of backlash those actors received from parts of the fandom just shows their racism & how much race can influence the way fictional characters are perceived.

Exactly It’s interesting how team black stans apply modern moral standards very selectively. If we’re going to judge characters through a modern lens, then that standard has to apply consistently to everyone, not only certain characters.

Disclaimer I'm neither Team Black or Team Green

I have seen multiple reviews of the past few episodes saying stuff like " Dang, this man is still upset about Rhaenyra rejecting his offer to this day " and " he's still trying to cause her problems". And I'm like, no, this man is way past the point of giving a damn about her, and I'd argue that he doesn't care about Alicent anymore either.

That man is suicidal. He wants to die. Back in season two, he witnessed a traumatizing event and then proceeded to go down a mental spiral that has led to him no longer wanting to live. A lot of people say they are tired of seeing him and his suicidal thoughts and that it's a waste of screen time when it isn't. He dies in a significant way, and they're setting up his death to be something caused not by being outmaneuvered but because he wants to die. Like, if we didn't have the scenes that depicted his descent into suicidal ideology (or any scenes that set up his death for that matter), then when he does die it would almost be as if it came out of nowhere.

Like, I get people don't like him, and their reasoning is valid, but to say all of his scenes are useless when they're not is annoying. Like, this one creator said, "Okay, we get it he's over it; can you show us something else?" and I'm wondering what else would a suicidal person be doing other than dissociating from the world around them and taking actions that will kill themselves.

When Criston said there was no home for him in Kingslanding as long as Rhaenyra was there, that was not him lamenting over some decades-old rejection. He was not lying; Rhaenyra would not let him back into the Redkeep and reassume his position on the Kingsguard. He is the Hand of the King; his stage name is literally the Kingmaker. He doesn't have a home in King's Landing with Rhaenyra there; he will be killed on site.
