I am really, really happy someone, somewhere thought of combining watermelon and feta cheese.

I am thankful for white noise machines and empty waiting rooms.

I am grateful for Trader Joe's amazing array of easy, delicious foods that are either prepared or frozen.  I live alone and don't have much time to cook, but a girl's gotta eat!

Today, one of my clients turned 25, which means he has aged out of our program and cannot receive services from us any more.  This happens relatively often and it's usually bittersweet, but this one is different.  I have been working with this client since I started my job two years ago.  He was  the first client to really open up to me and also to hug me and thank me for my help.  He has been through more in his 25 years than most of us will ever go through and continues to smile, and laugh, and live.  He has been such a personal and professional inspiration to me and I am so lucky to have known him.

I am grateful to live in a city with such an awesome mass transit system.  Even though we complain about it all the time, we New Yorkers are better off than pretty much anyone else in any other major city.

How can you not feel lucky after something like this?

Got home late last night, so I didn't get a chance to post this, but I am so lucky to have such open, accepting and loving people in my life.

I am so grateful that my friends and I are at an age where we never have to worry about covering our bill when we go out to eat because everyone pays what they owe, or more.  We help clean up after parties with having to be bribed to do so.  We do little things to help each other out, just because.

So good to know a man with a van!

I am so happy to have a job that is never, ever boring.

Also, I am so happy K is back in town.  I was starting to go a little nuts without her.  Her timing was perfect.

(Meant to post this last night. Oops.) I am grateful that I have friends that have become known as "The Champagne Fairies" who will appear when bidden with glorious libations.

Right now, I'm just grateful to be here.
