There’s something so evil about making me choose between Eartheater and Weyes Blood, there should be a faggy consulting overseer that approves all concert scheduling in London. I’m gonna see Eartheater because I’ve seen WB before but now I will have such a sense of loss knowing I’m missing out…

Being in this rich (but really quite poor) city makes me want so many things I never used to want. The village within London in which you live means everything. A balcony means people can smoke at your dinner party. I won't have enough space at the new flat to have get-togethers like before. I can't afford new sneakers and I've been throwing out so many socks with holes, I have to do the laundry just for clean socks. But the thing I've been thinking about is, I mustn't have everything I want now. One day, I might have a balcony, and a living room for a decent party. And money to travel, and new sneakers, and socks that are still soft. And I will think back to being 24 and recall, "I had very little, but I was beautiful and energetic and young". If I had everything now, what could I look forward to? One day I will be less beautiful (in that common sense) and less energetic and less young, but I might have copper pots and records I dream of having and a place to sit in the sun. And I'll know I once had some things and now I have other things.

I haven’t gotten into an artist in awhile that I felt none of my friends would like and it’s so lonely. I’m obsessed with Katie Jane Garside and her bands (especially Queenadreena) and I want to talk about her so bad but I know any of my friends would hear her screeching and be like 😄 oh okay
