#cabaça. . . . Hello World! I'm excited to share the news of the cabaça. I'm promoting an #ancestral #technology used to carry #water. . . Homo sapiens has walked on earth for a while now and carrying water is a critical activity for its survival. Once I was in India witnessing #plastic #pollution and I wondered if there was an #organic #waterbottle. It turns out there was and there still is an #ecological technology and it's this bottle that in #brazil is known as CA-BA-ÇA. In #México, it is known as #guaje. . .in some parts of the world, it is known as #african #calabash because it indeed came from #Africa, the birthplace of civilization. It is known in the scientific world by the name #lagenariasiceraria. . . it is a #vine which produces a fruit that can be turned into a vessel for carrying liquids. I've been using it, making my own and sharing it with the world for almost two years now I've learned a lot from it. . . First, the #guaje cabaça breathes. it has micropores through which hot vapors escape slowly, allowing the interior liquid to be cooled, much like how an air conditioning works. . . second, the cabaça has an intestine, a gut if you will. You may ferment drinks with it and this will develop as you learn about probiotic fermentation. . .Finally, the cabaça is strong, resisting the test of time thanks to its versatility in making food carrying utensils.
