New DJ mix out on Soundcloud. I am an Afro-Indigenous queer trans multidisciplinary artist. I don't use AI to make my art or music. I also know how to use TouchDesigner... não mexa comigo!😤
Something I made for IWD back in 2023 under @natstky, when I was figuring out my own style.
Ne Takayul • The Lesbian
I made this under my previous username (@/natstky). Takayul or takayulu means one who possesses a man's heart, it's a traditional Nawat word to mean lesbian in the language. I was inspired by the Spanish illustrator Pertegas in terms of style.
The woman on the left is wearing indumentaria or traditional clothing from Panchimalco. The other woman is wearing traditional clothing from Izalco. I do plan on redrawing this image.

Ramon Pane was wrong when he classified the male cemà (god/deity) Yúcahu as the Supreme Being in TaÃno culture.
The fact that Atabey had five names that were documented at the time (she actually has more than five names) show that she is of greater importance than he is.
Male anthropologists are famous for projecting their patriarchal tendencies onto previously uncontacted peoples who did not share those tendencies.
Yes, Yúcahu is important, but not more than Atabey. She is more important as the Creator.
In their [Trobriand Islanders] traditional society, every village had four matrilineal clans; these were descended from the four Trobriander lineages - Malasi, Lukuba, Lukwasisiga, and Lukulabuta. Each clan had its own place in the overarching, four-part system that divides Trobriand culture into totems and compass directions, and each one arose from an original Ancestress who emerged, along with her brother, from the mouth of a sacred cave. This original Ancestress generated offspring on her own, and her brother was there to protect and provide for her. According to traditional Trobriand Island beliefs, a woman does not need a man's sperm in order to bear a child. -Matriarchal Societies: Studies on Indigenous Cultures Across the Globe by Heide Göttner-Abendroth [I capitalized "Ancestress;" in the book it is lowercased]
