since dandys world is getting cancelled, i may tell everybody about the lore within the cs toons
Where did it start off first of all? How did they get there?
the toons were the actual characters: player, ivy, zack, carmen, le chevre, el topo, tigress and crackle
it was just a regular caper, or so carmen thought. little did they know, team red was gonna be caught in a big mousetrap. this waa during the VILE hunt caper (i think?)
all 4 operatives: le chevre, el topo, tigress and crackle were sent to attack team red in which they did attack.
on the other hand, player was the first one to be caught, he was caught by boris and vlad aka the cleaners
unfortunately, team reds demise was them getting caught
each member of team red was found at the back of the helicopter, with a bunch of supplies. shadowsan was the first to wake up, the rest were tied up.
as the knots were loose, shadowsan managed to break free from the restraints.
knowing the rest of the operatives have parachutes, shadowsan only found one.
carmen groggily woke up, saw shadowsan desparately trying to find a spare parachute, there had to be more for all of them to escape?! right???
carmen weakly said to him to go and find seek help. shadowsan was panicking, carmen and the team were his top priority here. he didnt want to act selfish... but there was only one, what will the others do.
shadowsan fulfilled her request, leaving them and trying to find help. he equipped the parachute, slight tears in his eyes and off he went.
each team red member woke up, they were in dr bellums lab, still tied up. the operatives, menacingly staring at each of them as if they were taunting them
dr bellum and professor maelstrom came to congradulate the operatives for their teamwork, they earned a prize
whats the prize exactly? team red gets to be apart of an experiment!
dr bellum created a new gadget, a portal gun. so team red were the volunteers of this exeperiment
shuddering, team red was afraid. what was gonna happen? eventually, one by one, they get shoved
zack first, then ivy, then player... lastly carmen
the operatives were surprisingly shocked, was this worse than killing a local or them getting shoved to somewhere possibly dangerous
professor maelstrom explained that theyve basically turned into cartoons now and put into the show: 'Dandy's World'
professor maelstrom got out a screen to showcase the experiment, there they saw each designs of team red as objectified, anthromorphic toons, an episode began playing titled: 'Where in Dandy's World is Carmen Sandiego?' showcasing team red in their toon forms
though, these arent the actual team red toons but this episode will be practically tattooed into their brains as if they vividly remember. only a few episodes will have aired.
tigress asks why theyre all being showed this, were they meant to be happy? she thought this was weird and foolish.
bellum explains, since they let shadowsan escape. this experiment was also going to be their punishment. not only that, for everyone to escape they must retrieve every single microchip. tigress gets pushed into there first as she made a rather 'rude' comment about the experiment.
then next goes el topo, le chevre and finally crackle.
they were now toons themselves, stuck in the gardenview center. they remember each episode they were in, not only that but the capers from when they were human
when delilah and arthur created them into fully breathable toons, the cast protested that they still had their human memories, they both shrugged it off like it were nothing
the characters were now forced to educate people about geography, history and friendship. how sappy.
fyi, they are event toons but they do not resemble a holiday of occasion (such as christmas, easter and halloween) they are their own respective selves
Do they make it out alive?
hate to break it to everybody but, technically no.
they do survive, only as twisteds lurking around floors
the actual cast remains twisted, a common theory also states that the toons we play as are clones. so only the clones return to the actual world without their human memories, the twisteds are left to rot.
neither shadowsan, chase, julia and chief knew the difference.
however thats the bad ending dont worry, shadowsan eventually frees them in the good ending, each characters are sent to a private hospital. some characters have worser fates (doesnt mean theyre dead), tigress and crackle met a worse fate and theyre currently in a coma
as for faculty and VILE itself in the good ending, it goes as plan just like in the finale. most of them get caught
however, some of the characters are severely injured, the ichor gives them burn marks and scars. player met a painful fate, his arm was torn apart and he lost one of his eyes.
Since they're event toons, what did it feel like since they were locked out for the majority of the time?
team red couldnt cope very well, zack was constantly hungry and there was barely anything to do there
as for the operatives, they had it the worst, they were actually the first ones to be hidden from the public due to their 'harmful nature'
each and every single toon felt hopeless, dull and their ego increased. examples like: tigress got more harsher and meaner, putting the blame onto others. le chevre began to become more nitpicky and kind of the same as tigress, crackle began to lose his spark started to fade and became more arrogant
eventually at times, they were let out but their personalities became much harsher to toons, the toons are very colourful and expressive, the carmen sandiego toons have their human memories still attached to them and starting to think most of the things are becoming sappier.
What do the other characters like Shadowsan, Mime Bomb, Paper Star, etc, do in this au?
shadowsan does what carmen says, he seeks help, he knows the authorities such as the police wont help so he turns to the only option, ACME.
agent zari finds him, she knows that hes a suspect and worked for VILE one time, and he also escaped from her companys grasp so obviously she goes for him.
shadowsan doesnt mind this, he would also tell everything and anything that happened to carmen, he doesnt know that the team has been sent somewhere though
chase, julia, zari and chief restrain him against a chair, telling him he needs to fess up
and so, shadowsan did. telling everything about VILE and their schemes.
ACME cant exactly become trusting towards him yet, but shadowsan can be a reliable source so they try to plan further on how to reach VILE. tracking their every move
fortunately, thanks to carmens laptop being left behind, ACME and shadowsan can easily track each VILE operatives location, therefore they can add a tracker onto some of the operatives
this is where specifically paper star and mime bomb comes in, paper star is more combative than mime bomb (he can barely do shit)
unfortunately mime bomb was never caught, besides what can a mime do with a response?
paper star was however, ACME chipped her unknowingly. paper star only subtly told them a few things, but thats because she doesnt know their exact plans with the rest of the team and the operatives, which is how they found out they also sent their own operatives.
