Plaza Mayor

Madrid is full of Plazas. Most of these have their Metro stations and full of history. Plaza Mayor is like the Main Plaza it is center to many transfers and the surroundings are full of cafes and shopw.

Las Salinas

In El Cuyo the water is so salty that there is one of the biggest salt process in Mexico.

You take a dirt road and it is one of the most beautiful rides you will ever take. You will see vegetation and in one side there is the sea and in the other the Ria (sort of a lagoon).

You see from where the process starts until it is very refined. Once it is very refined the water becomes pink and this is a very unique spectacle. Pink lagoons :)

These are a couple of pictures we took kiteboarding in the first pond. This is not really allowed but it is safe. You should never kite on the ones further along in the process because the water is so salty that it itches in the skin.

Las Casitas El Cuyo

If you ever go to El Cuyo make sure you check Las Casitas.

These are beach front big cabaña style houses. Very Caribbean and they all have their private beach space.

Las Casitas is amazing. More than a place to stay this is where the kite community is in El Cuyo. They make Barbecues and very nice dinners at night.

El Cuyo has its very unique magic and Las Casitas is certainly the place to experience it.

El Cuyo: A magic town in the Yucatan Coast

El Cuyo is the first beach town in the Yucatan peninsula after Quintana Roo. It is 2 hours away from most places around. Seriously, it is 2 hours away from Playa del Carmen, Cancun, Tulum, Merida, San Felipe.

The town is magic. All wooden houses and painteresque caribbean feel. In one side you have the beautiful beach and on the other you have the Ria (lagoon) with tons of Flamingos.

The Yucatan coast is full of small beach towns, such as Rio Lagartos, San Felipe, Santa Clara, Chuburna, Progreso, etc.

Isla Blanca - La Punta

Isla Blanca is an awesome spot in Cancun, Mexico. This flat water lagoon offers you excellent wind conditions for kiteboard during the months of November - May.

In Isla Blanca has two different types of wind that you can kite. North, Northeast and South, South East.

In La Punta we kite during the South and South East winds. The wind is offshore so even though the water is shallow, you do need a bit of experience to kite in this spot. Make sure when you do, you are kiting with friends that have experience or there is the water bike from Ikarus for any problems.

Bring water and everything, there is nothing in this spot.

Isla Blanca is an awesome spot in Cancun, Mexico. This flat water lagoon offers you excellent wind conditions for kiteboard during the months of November - May.

Ikarus is the biggest kiteboard school in Mexico. In this spot the winds from the North and North East are the best.

You can buy water, etc in the school. For these months and weather you need a wetsuit.

Petronas Towers

Visiting the Petronas Towers was mind blowing.

It just opened my eyes into seeing what happens when a gas driven economy country does it well and are wealthy. How it looks. My country Venezuela we produce as much gas as Malaysia but our Petroleum company headquarters is a joke compared to the Petronas towers and any other comparison for that matter.

We were greeted by a hologram which gave it the feeling of a second life building.

We went up to the bridge. There we spent about 15 mins. This bridge was designed in a way that it moves depending on the wind. Their thought behind it was to go with nature not against.

Then we went up to the 84th floor. There were graphs and interactive stations, very cool place.

Kuala Lumpur is a city where you can feel its richness. It is a rich country. You can see this in the City Centre next to the Petronas Towers.

The city centre has a fountain, beautiful trees, a huge mall and the amazing view of the gorgeous Petronas Towers.

National Mosque

This Islamic Mesquite is has beautiful architecture and surroundings.

I did not go in. Just stayed outside. Admired the architecture, its people, the culture.

The Islamic Museum is a beautiful place to visit. They have awesome pieces of typography and illustration on the Quran.

They have a section of armory and knights gadgets super interesting.

The architecture, the tiles, the open spaces, silence and water fountains give this museum a super peaceful vibe.

Kuala Lumpur is an awesome multiethnic city with so much to see.

Their population is divided in Muslims, Hindus and Chinese. You definitely see a multiculture in the city. In one day you can visit the main muslim, go to a buddhist temple and dine some street food in Little India.

It really has a special flavor.

Temples around

What is very peculiar about Kuala Lumpur is their mix of races. In Kuala Lumpur you have a percentage of Hindus, Chinese and Malaysians which are mainly Muslims.

In one street you have two very traditional of different religions temples.

The Sri Maha Mariamman Temple has a very cool structure. It's architecture is clearly Hindu. People that follow Hinduism go there to pray, meditate and give their offerings. You keep on walking on the same street, and you see Thean Hou Temple which is a Chinese temple.

Typhoon Ruby

While we were in Boracay Typhoon Ruby decided to pass by. We saw the situation grab our things and left to Kuala Lumpur.

In the end nothing more than lots of rain happened. However for a while it looked like the typhoon was going straight to Boracay. It was a bit disconcerting since people there did not prepare much for situations like this.

The airport was beyond packed, and it was a mission to board, but in the end we made it to Kuala Lumpur.

Wahine Bar

One of the best spots to hang out in Boracay was Wahine Bar at the end of White beach.

The sunset sessions are awesome because they had Happy hour (with Kalamansi Caipirinhas and an invited DJ.

The place had a cool vibe, awesome puffs for relaxing and a magic sunset to enjoy.
