Everyday is a struggle and sometimes you simply have to grit your teeth to get through it. My mental health was poor today and my workout didn't help much. My legs have been lagging and every leg day feels like a uphill battle to get them to grow. I feel like I'm hammering away at a rock and walking away with dust. That's no excuse to give up though. Hey! It’s me, Sunshine from GothBod. This being my very first post for y’all, I’m going to open up about my personal experience with weight loss, work outs, weight maintenance and nutrition. First off, I’m not fat. I’ve always been an adequate size for my height and age but I wanted to achieve my ideal body. The only issue was I didn’t know how or where to start. There were so many diet fads. Seemed like everyone had a “perfect” way to lose weight. Nothing I tried worked. I was getting discouraged. Along with all the failures, there was no one in the fitness community who I could relate to. I wasn’t some bro dude or jock babe. I have tattoos, piercings, and a love for coloring my hair absurd colors. I gave up for a while. When I started to work towards my ideal body again, I tried several work out plans and not one of them worked for me. I couldn’t tone the muscles I wanted or strengthen the ones that needed it. I needed help and again found no one like me who knew what to do. My diet sucked, my work out plans didn’t work and I didn’t have a supportive like minded community to help. That was until GothBod. Since the creation of this great platform, I have a nutrition plan and work out schedule that does wonders. It does everything I wanted it to. I’m on my way to looking how I wish and feel better than I ever have. My staple is now chicken, brown rice, beans and green veggies. It’s delicious! I work out 5 days a week, and even though the start was difficult, it got easier. If you take anything away from this, it should be: It gets easier (that and chicken with brown rice is the way to go, lol). *Sunshine Out*
