Due to damaged vocal cords he physically can't speak, and has been mute a majority of his life. His coworkers say that doesn't stop him from hissing and sputtering at his computers when they're pissing him off.

Bugs are cool and he's the designated Bug Catcher in the lab. He once just picked up a scorpion by the tail with no hesitation, the lab absolutely lost their shit. He's rumored to be unafraid of any critter. This is a lie he does NOT like snakes. Snakes are Barney's job.

Family isn't really present. He'd been cut off after coming out, and really only checks in on his mother for holidays. He thinks of Dr. Kleiner as family, and eventually Dr. Vance once they really started working together.

He's Jewish, but not very active. He still celebrates most holidays (helps that Kleiner, Vance, and Barney are all Jewish too).

This man has undiagnosed and untreated ADHD and has never been on time a single day in his life. He's either an hour early or late. No in between. There's a worn spot of tiles under his desk from where he keeps bouncing his leg.
