So… punk to me involves everything from rap, to reggae, to ska, to jazz, to honestly even some hyperpop (RIP SOPHIE) where the idea is to be counterculture usually noted to “define youthful angst” that started as a prison slang word (literally, “Those damn, punks!).

Note how the influence stems largely from rock, which is what people usually think of, though the modern day punk movement is heavily intersectional because that’s the fucking point.

My reference point as a late Millennial means I grew up with a fuck ton of “Pop Punk” where groups like No Doubt and Green Day were more mainstream which is why I think the entire scene now has edgy teens acting like they know shit instead of like… being cool about it.

So yeah, I wouldn’t say they’re rock at all, but my fixation on the song “Clint Eastwood” kind of highlights why I find them to be constantly seething as try hards in their virtual world with basically no women -_-

It’s giving incel energy and the fandom is proving that with extreme virility instead of just being like “yeah, I’m pissed too, here’s why”.

And if you don’t like my wording, I just looked at the Wiki page and oh wow is my stance similar to this entire synopsis!

Like Jason and Bruce are identical. Like identical to the point even Bruce is concerned and runs DNA tests every few months, identical.

But hey Bruce also shares a REALLY close resemblance with Cass, who also looks like Tim to the point they look like Siamese twins.

Then you have Dick who looks like the leaner ethnic version of Bruce in a way.

Damian of course grew to look like Talia's exact clone, but no one in Gothams met Talia before. You know who they HAVE met, however? Dick Grayson. Who Damian shares a face with. (yeah someone pieces together a timeline of Damians appearance along with Dick's resurgence in Gotham and well, Wayne grandchild accusations are thrown about)

Stephanie and Duke have proclaimed themselves above the Wayne genetics, Stephanie calling herself a terror from god sent to haunt Bruce for his sins and Duke at a gala once claimed to Vikki Vale that hes the "mandatory diversity hire" (hes not but theres a betting pool with who can piss Bruce off on gala nights).

your morning's are quiet; neither of you say much, if anything at all, until you've had breakfast. sometimes jason showers first in the morning, other times you do. you'll find him halfway through making coffee, he'll find you simultaneously popping toast into the toaster and drying your hair.

you do the grocery shopping of the week hand in hand–always holding his at that awkward angle he complains about, just so you can feel his pulse in case. you argue about popsicle flavors too loud and buy two tubs of ice cream because one of you can't stand vanilla and the other strictly eats vanilla. jason gets a bad case of baby fever when you take a side quest through the park on the way home.

lunch blinks by the two of you, mainly consisting of you nagging jason about how he always stains his shirts and surfaces. it's with sauce in the context of lunch, but with blood typically.

you sit in the balcony together. you work on the small chair he moved outside for you while he smokes at a distance, trying not to trigger another monologue. or another of your attempts at getting him to quit smoking through sheer annoyance. replacing his cigarettes with lipglosses hadn't worked, yet he feared what you would try next.

jason gets a sock to the face while he reads at the table. he places the photobooth strip of the two of you–four monochrome pictures of you two undeniably in love, each photo mushier than the last–into his book to mark the page. he laughs when you go off about the socks he leaves lying around and the shirts he randomly throws around and never picks up.

he listens to your playlists while he's out for patrol to bring him a semblance of peace. a reminder of the sanctuary and warm arms he gets to return to after a long day of crime fighting and beating ass. you stay up to make sure he gets home safely, even on the days when you're fighting. sometimes he'll find you've fallen asleep on the couch while waiting. he joins you wordlessly.
