They arent really a thing. Tom and Tords relationship is built on continuous competition and teasing and it builds tension. Tension is only really relieved by a scrap, forcing them apart or hooking up . They do it simply because they can with no consequences. It is a small investment, high profits relationship and it becomes a little addicting for each party bc of that in a way.
It also comes from Tom wanting to lowkey humble Tord a lil and, knowing Tord, thats probably a massive turn on.
As time goes on, it does get a little warmer and have a tad bit of meaning behind (leading to stuff like Tom giving Tord the rings from one of my earlier posts or just generally becoming more agreeable with eachother). There is some romantic interest building but neither really admit to it bc they're stubborn and still kinda dislike eachother at the same time.
I always view it in the way of Tom catching feelings first (hence why i made a comment on him being 'too sentimental for their relationship'). Tord seems like he would take the piss out of Tom for catching feelings and fucking up a 'perfectly good arrangement' but I can also see him (if chilled out enough) occasionally accepting Toms advances and allowing the more romantic things to happen. However, Tord also seems like he doesnt really care that much about their relationship because he doesnt really view it as an actual relationship.
Tom would be the very sappy one. When it does become more romantic, he is quite awkward and a little shy about it because its still a bit weird being soft with Tord. Tord doesnt really change, he might make jokes about Tom actually being in love with him and he might play into it if hes bored or wants something but he'd convince himself that he doesnt love Tom and that this whole thing is just a casual affair. He would also have the tendency to find Toms awkward love funny so Tord leads him on a bit.

Though!! there was a time between Tord realising Tom was a lovesick wet dog and moving out where he did actually view Tom more favourably instead of some occasional indulgence.
I don't think I've posted abt it (i think, i dunno) but i hc that Tord used to be an addict and went clean before moving out. The only reason this changed anything between Tom and Tord is because Tom was extremely supportive of Tord going clean (as was the others ofc) and was very present while Tord went through withdrawls. Just being there the amount Tom was did lead to Tord being less of a prick and reciprocating affection more often. Though, Tord still didnt view their actual relationship status as anything more then an affair. He probably did fall for Tom during this but didnt realise it or was in denial.

obviously, when Tord left they were strained. I like to think that Tord kinda dropped the fact he was leaving to Tom a day or two before leaving simply because he didnt care enough to tell him in advance (again, bc he didnt view it as a relationship, nor really acknowledge the development their relationship has had in those past few months/year). Tom did have a lot of resentment because of that and he fuckin hated Tord over it (understandably so). If asked sober, Tord was a 'heartless bastard and could rot in hell' but, when drunk, Tom would admit he actually did miss having Tord around. Because he did.
Either way, they never established anything. They might've nearly done so at somepoint or been romantically attracted but it never went fair enough to be in a proper relationship. Doesnt stop me from drawing them being proper gay tho. Sometimrs its nice to make them actually in love <33
Future them is also a whole other tangent. Too long, cant be arsed. Saloonatics them too. Those guys are actually in love. well in.
