Overall, if you were to meet her, you’d never guess she’s any kind of an artist. She doesn’t really feel the need to prove it to anyone or to show it off, as she believes that those who try too hard to look artsy end up just being as conformist as anyone else. Her hobby is her private life and most inner side, her way to vent and to overcome traumas and deal with intense emotions.

Coming from a small, relatively closed minded town, she isn’t the most accepting critter ever. Even if she’s aware of how her birthplace influenced negatively her view of the world, she can’t help but judge almost everything negatively, at least at first encounter. She’s not really vocal about it, but would rather observe you silently and study you until she gets to fit you in a specific category, analyzing your behavior and trying to find as soon as possible a way to break you down in case she needs to defend herself from anything you do or say. 

She can be as sharp as a knife with words, and she has a way of using them that can be either really painful, convincing or warm. Words and her ability of understanding how people work and hit in the right spot are her best weapons, and she won’t mind using them, because, after all, she kinds of enjoy showing people how she found a way to break them down.

Beside all of this, however, if you get to pass the first “test” phase and she lets you in her life, she’s totally going to be there for you no matter what. She can be extremely supportive, patient, sweet and tell you exactly what you need to hear, or just be there with you when nobody else would. if she cares about you, she is totally going to kill for you and protect you from everything, and eventually, show you her best, soft side.

Once she feels comfortable enough, she is pretty funny as well and smile bright for a whole day.

The part I like the most about her personality is the conflict given from where she comes from (that turned her into some sort of cold judging girl) and her love for art and nature, that somehow gives her some sort of peculiar open mindness, and the two things would clash and make her really confused or incoherent about her decisions.

Relationships:

Her first encounter with the turtles is devastating on both sides: she’s scared and somehow disgusted, risulting in an aggressive response that hurt them badly. However, her mutation forces her to change point of view, and eventually change the way she sees them and giving her a new perspective on the world and on people, helping her to finally open her mind and become more mature and accepting. 

I totally see her having a love/hate relationship with Raphael. She’s a lot like him, and yet a lot whole different, specially when it comes down to fighting. Where he relies on raw physical strenght but can’t express verbally what he feels, she depends on words and their effects on people. At first, it would be the worst relationships of them all, but eventually, it’d end up being the exact opposite. Her words would change from weapons to healing things for Raphael’s low self esteem and inner conflicts.

I can see her becoming April’s closest friend too: she would be a major factor in Liz’s change of views, helping her understading and seeing new things, as April herself is that kind of person that would usually get criticized at first sight and that gets daily hurt by prejudices and closed mind reactions. Also, they’d be nerd buddies and they would enjoy small things together, like the rain or the color of the leaves, and talk about existential drama and stuff. 

Leo would have some difficulties trusting her because of his honor thing going on that totally clash against her cynical, kinda sadist way of doing things. However, on the long run, he will come to know that he can completely trust her and that below the rough surface, there’s a sensitive soul, and they would talk for hours about art, japanese culture and philosophy.

Mikey would somehow fascinate her because of how his innocence clashes with her kinda twisted way of thinking, and he’d probably push the “mama” button in her, moving Liz to become quite motherly and protective of him.

Donnie would be the “cold logic stuff” buddy of hers, maybe teaching her a couple of things about anatomy for her drawings and Liz talking him to death about how he needs to step up in everything in life.
