It gets a little bit easier once you realize you can accomplish things at your own pace and that’s okay

Friendships can be just as toxic as any other type of relationship. It’s okay to cut toxic friends out of your life. You don’t have to suffer through it just because they’re your “friend.” I know it’s hard, but better people will come.

We all move and grow at our own rates. Just because you feel like you’re behind doesn’t mean you’re any less good. A flower that blooms in summer is no less beautiful or admired than one which blooms in spring. You will bloom in your own time!

You know, I spent a long time feeling like I wasted my life because my high school years weren’t “the best 4 years” of my life, but that’s so not true and it’s not true for you either. There is still so much time for you to recover and start living a life you enjoy, and just because you struggle in your teens doesn’t mean you can’t still have beautiful experiences.

You can’t expect yourself to go from a negative mentality to a positive one overnight, but every time you correct a bad thought you are growing! So focus on your growth, not the fact that you aren’t “there” yet.
