The gods Do Not Love You.
and why should they? they are devine and so far above your form of existance and experiance within this world.
I see a lot of other pagans talk about how Aphrodite loves you, Hekate loves you, ect. ect. but why should they? yes there are gods known to have an affection for humans but its the same as the affection you have for something you take a minor interest in, or find useful to you. that is why we give offerings, we show them how much we respect and honor them so that they are inclined to give us an ounce of attention.
clinging to the belief that there is a god out there that loves you is inherently nonpagan, it is a christian sentiment, Jesus loves you, well Zeus isn't Jesus, Thor isn't Jesus, Dionysus isn't Jesus, they owe us no affection, and their love is fully conditional, they love you when you serve them on their terms. all the attention you might recieve from them must be earned through your actions, it is for this same reason that I don't believe the gods reach out to people, why would they? they are divinity and you are simple, you are mortal, complex thought was given to you so that you could serve them, and so that you could entertain them
