Sometimes letting someone go is just as loving a gesture as holding on to them. Realising things won’t work out the way you planned always feels like a blow to the chest. Giving up, however, is not a sign of weakness. Sometimes it’s a sign of strength. Because loving someone means setting them free when they tire of being in one place for too long. When it’s stagnation they fear. There’s no more honest way of showing love than by wishing someone happiness - even when it’s not with you where they find it.
