Absolute Wonder Woman Annual #1 - "Cursing & Cursed" (2026)

reading as many comics as I do they can become kind of stale after a while so catching up on all the absolute stuff was definitely a breath of fresh air, I really recommend people to at least check out the core three and Martian Manhunter (my personal favorite) but the whole series is really at a quality DC (and honestly marvel as well) have struggled to put out at a level and consistence of quality and I wanted to point out a moment in reading all of them that really really struck out to me
I think the idea of helping/curing/freeing Medusa is a way to win easy points she's famously one of the most wronged people in Greek mythology (which is saying something) but I think it was done really well here and my favorite part is that they didn't make her conventionally attractive after she's freed, she's arguably more conventionally attractive before and while I can't remember any examples at the moment I for sure have seen the same story done before with her turning into a bodacious stacked babe but here she (and her sisters who are often forgotten) feels more like an actual person and it allows the story to focus more on her metaphysical freedom more than a purely physical one
