Take note of how a lot of places removed seating essential to elderly and disabled people during the peak pandemic period when we still thought transmission via surfaces was likely and then just never returned them and probably never will.
A good samaritan in our neighborhood weather-proofed some old church pews and secured them where the benches our city took away used to be.
Love the ppl in the notes like, “but what if you sit on it and damage it? 🥺” Hydrants are cast iron. Cast iron has more compressive strength than steel. And they’re built to contain 40-100 psi. When was the last time you sitting down damaged an unreinforced steel bench like these?
And you think someone sitting on a thick cast iron structure is gonna hurt it?
And no, the ground is not accessible seating. You really gonna tell a 90-yr-old person to just sit on the ground? How tf you think they’re getting down and back up without falling? How about a person with a cane? Someone who’s pregnant? Now that there are no benches bc 😱 a homeless person might use them and be visible 😱 what do you expect those ppl to do? Also stop existing?
DMX singing Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer is the only way to kick off the holiday season.
That time of year

Random astro observations 🦚 #13
!I'm not a professional astrologer so please don't take this personally!
The point Vertex in the chart indicates sudden event/meeting, for the occurring of which our free will is not included. If a person's Venus conjuncts your Vertex or the reverse (2-3⁰), this is a huge indicator of karmic romantic relationship, but not necessarily a happy one.
I've been studying basic synastry and I found really interesting method to see if a person has karmic relationship with you from past incarnations. You can do this with basically everyone around you - partner, parent, child, friends, co-worker etc. Search if the person's south node (SN) or your SN forms a tight conjunction with a personal planet and vice-versa. For example: You see that you and your bff have SN - personal planet conjunction. This means in 90% of the time that you two need to have this relationship to learn the lessons from past lives in this life. In most cases the person with the SN was the giver in the past lives and the person with the planet was the receiver. Now this needs to be reversed - the person with the planet should be the helper for the SN person and the cycle closes. This, of course, is a really abstract subject so please don't take it literally, because different astrologers have different explanations for it.
I can't remember if I've said this in my previous posts, if so please pardon me. It really fascinates me how the people around me (family, friends, co-workers...) share at least one of my big 3 signs in their personal planets (Sun to Mars). Especially my parents and close friends.
IC is the point in the chart which shows how people like to behave in their home. In that line of thinking we can use IC to understand better if we can live with someone in the same space peacefully or not. For example: My IC is in Cancer, my father's Sun and Asc are in Cancer as well => we have great relationship at home; Or you can use your own IC compared to the person's IC. Virgo and Capricorn ICs will not have problems to live together or for example Taurus and Cancer. My opinion is that when moving in to live with someone, you should always check their IC sign, because that's the way they'll behave at home, their attitude towards the home space and the way they like their home to look like.
In a woman's chart Venus represents the way this woman will behave before forming a family on her own. Her demeanor after having children and partner/husband is represented by her Moon. Some women struggle to make this transition and sometimes this can lead to problems later in life. In a man's chart Venus is the image of the perfect lover and the Moon - mother and wife.
Let me explain my opinion on the Square aspect. I've met some people who are afraid of them, which is really wrong. Squares represent the willingness to solve a problem, but struggling to do it. Later in life or when you are able to overcome the issues of Squares they can become the most stable part of the chart.
Chiron in the 9th house is probably the most favorable place for Chiron to be in, because the person will aim to live life according to their own belief system and rules.
Venus in the 9th house is also a good position, because it gifts the person with amazing humor. It can mean that the person will have a foreign lover or will love/feel fascinated by everything foreign.
Venus square Mars will make a person struggle with uncontrollable anger addressed to their closest people. They will burst in anger even from the smallest misunderstanding or irritation (the signs here are very important). These people need to learn to not take out their frustration in such an aggressive way to their closest ones.
Sun trine Ascendant is the most awesome aspect for sure! When you first come into contact with a person with this aspect you will see how they really are in their core identity. Their energy flows really easy and harmonious.

Shortly you could describe decans to be a triplicity of each sign of the zodiac in order, as you may know that each element of the zodiacs have 3 signs in each. Each zodiac sign has 30 degrees (360º/12=30º) and you can divide them in thirds of 10º. Every sign will have three Decans and each Decan has a planetary ruler which becomes the co-ruler of that particular sign. For example first decan of Aries (0º-9º) is a pure form of Aries ruled by Mars. While the second decan (10º- 19º) is a "mix" between Aries-Leo and is Mars co-ruled by the Sun. The third decan is Aries-Sag (19º-29º) and is Mars co-ruled by Jupiter etc.

depression tips™
shower. not a bath, a shower. use water as hot or cold as u like. u dont even need to wash. just get in under the water and let it run over you for a while. sit on the floor if you gotta.
moisturize everything. use whatever lotion u like. unscented? dollar store lotion? fancy ass 48 hour lotion that makes u smell like a field of wildflowers? use whatever you want, and use it all over.
put on clean, comfortable clothes.
put on ur favorite underwear. cute black lacy panties? those ridiculous boxers u bought last christmas with candy cane hearts on the butt? put em on.
drink cold water. use ice. if u want, add some mint or lemon for an extra boost.
clean something. doesn’t have to be anything big. organize one drawer of ur desk. wash five dirty dishes. do a load of laundry. scrub the bathroom sink.
blast music. listen to something upbeat and dancey and loud, something that’s got lots of energy. sing to it, dance to it, even if you suck at both.
make food. don’t just grab a granola bar to munch. take the time and make food. even if it’s ramen. add something special to it, like a hard boiled egg or some veggies. prepare food, it tastes way better, and you’ll feel like you accomplished something.
make something. write a short story or a poem, draw a picture, color a picture, fold origami, crochet or knit, sculpt something out of clay, anything artistic. even if you don’t think you’re good at it.
go outside. take a walk. sit in the grass. look at the clouds. smell flowers. put your hands in the dirt and feel the soil against your skin.
call someone. call a loved one, a friend, a family member, call a chat service if you have no one else to call. talk to a stranger on the street. have a conversation and listen to someone’s voice. if you can’t, text or email or whatever, just have some social interaction with another person. even if you don’t say much, listen to them.
cuddle your pets if you have them/can cuddle them. take pictures of them. talk to them. tell them how u feel, about your favorite movie, a new game coming out.
Circulating. Seasonal depression is creeping around now.
Lets keep this moving
Literally no exaggeration.
This. This. THIS.
My husband has been trying to find a job since we moved in August, and has gotten fucking crickets.
He is more than willing to deliver pizza or bag groceries, but none of those places call him back because he has a college degree.
The "labor shortage" is bullshit.
There’s definitely a labor shortage , hella places are closing hours earlier or going out of business in my neighborhood because of it and I live in a big city. But yea Jobs get like 200 applications a day right now because of the pandemic lay-off and they do a shit job of looking through them.
“I asked a young White woman why she was studying social anthropology. She replied that she was hoping to go to Zimbabwe, and felt that she could help women there by advising them how to organize. The Black women in the audience gasped in astonishment. Here was someone scarcely past girlhood, who had just started university and had never fought a war in her life. She was planning to go to Africa to teach female veterans of a liberation struggle how to organize! This is the kind of arrogant, if not absurd attitude we encounter repeatedly. It makes one think: Better the distant armchair anthropologists than these ‘sisters’.”
