This is my homeless friend, Sean. My children and I have known him for several years and taken him food, clothes, and blankets. Sean has Special Needs. He can’t read or write and sounds like an 8 year old child when he talks. He recently told me that he is here because he got lost and can’t find his way home. He was on a Greyhound Bus to visit someone and got on the wrong bus at a rest stop. He’s been lost ever since. He thinks he’s from Springfield, Missouri. Someone has to be looking for him. He’s such a harmless, gentle soul. Please pray for him any reblogs or word of mouth are extremely appreciated as it allows others to see him and find our friend.

The First Step to Inner Peace: Stop Believing Your Thoughts

It’s astounding to me that when we say “but I thought…” it’s basically an excuse for everything. Why is it that just because we think something, that excuses us from acting like idiots? Our thoughts are just as much our responsibilities as our actions.

I can’t say this enough: just because you think something, does not make it true.

What we tend to think about a lot, and what we shouldn’t be thinking about at all, is the future. For some strange reason, we believe ourselves to be fortune tellers. We believe that our thoughts about the future are true or at least have a huge possibility to become true.

Do you remember how many times you said in your life the following sentence: “I would have never thought this would happen.” You probably said it a lot, and that is exactly the point - what will actually happen in the future, you will most probably never think of. Read more»
