This is the first Dangerous Liaisons playlist I made, and it’s definitely my favourite too.

Most of the songs are in French as it is a French book (and I’m French ❤️), but if anyone is interested in a translation/explanation onto why I added these songs feel free to ask, I’d gladly talk about it

Confidence pour Confidence: Valmont’s song

The “original” Valmont song is “Confidence Pour Confidence” by Jean Schultheis: the song is from the point of view of a narcissistic man who charms women for his own pleasure (“C’est moi que j’aime à travers vous” means “it is I whom I love through you”)

Here are some lyrics that fit and their translations:
