Julian.
it was a rare occasion that he and emilienne had the house to themselves on a quiet morning. julian left his bags by the door and stepped through the foyer, into their large common room, unbuttoning his coat as he entered further into the space. when they didn’t have guests over, their many children were popping in and out as they pleased— he was glad to see that neither was the case this day. as his eyes fell upon his beloved, a vision of beauty, he paused for a moment. coming back from business trips were always worth the sight he returned to. “i’m sorry i missed it, it would have been all the more fun with me around,” he responded, a grin spreading across his face as he continued towards her, taking a seat on the armrest of the sofa across the chaise. normally he would have gone straight for a kiss, or a hug, some type of physical affection, but he didn’t dare disturb her peace. “believe me, i think i missed you far more.”
As his face came into view once he stepped fully into their living space, the smile the pulled at the corners of her lips was one that was only his, there was never and would never be another that could fill her otherwise cold heart with such a flood of warmth and desire for affection. “Doubtless, darling.” She spoke softly, rising with slow grace from where she lay the ivory robe bearing smooth skin that was no less pearlescent than the silk she wore, bare beneath a short slip. She decided he was much to far considering how long he’d been away.
Crossing the room she came to stand between his legs, the tips of her fingers very gently running along the length of his face from cheekbones to sharp jawline. “The next time I decide to stay back for the sake of the council, do not let me. That lot will drive me to the coffins we so hate.” She said almost in a whisper standing so closer, thumb brushing his bottom lip allowing for that rush of pleasure that was so unique to her touch alone.
