Q1. the 1st line in the 1st image got translated as 'Isn't that really rude behaviour?' what does this mean?
Q2. the 1st line in the second image says: 'this guy actually has a thing for a word? He's a total brain.' Is that right?
Q3. 3rd image: what does the part in bold say? it's written like part of a DER entry even though it's KSE's thoughts. Has this happened before?
A1. By "rude" it's supposed to be like "bad manners" which, KSE is saying that those guys being rowdy and using cursewords and such where guests could hear them is not befitting the rules of this resort (be polite)
A2. "This guy, he's got a way with words. He's got a f-cking brain on him." He's re-evaluating KSE.
A3.
Death from falls, suicides, or in extreme cases, a building where more than half the residents died due to gas leak
strange hallucinations related to the accidents
grotesquely twisted scenes of the accidents
They all seem like direct quotes from the wiki & the font is the wiki font, yes. I can't remember if this happened before though.
---------------------------------
Thoughts
KSE going all 'isn't this going against the resort's rules?' at the others being rowdy <- is he concerned or is he annoyed as the owner who set the rules. I wanna say both
wow a thief
"are you the owner's son or something?" Lmao
lmao KSE being accepted into the group against his wishes 😭
cleaning game… This makes me miss house flipper
ooo special suite mentioned… wonder if a certain VIP guest is staying there…
oh KSE feeling unconnected to the resort… Aw :( I mean Ig it's not a bad thing in a way but. Well. It is his resort…
YES AGENT HAEGEUM
I mean maybe? Maybe not?
oh fuck
oh fuck the contract ran out 27 hours ago…
no… 😭 the one good thing he had in this ghost story world!
also this kinda reminds me of irl lawsuits? 😭
Does scale court handle civil lawsuits. Let's settle this heart vs heart
ep starts with thievery and ends with thievery
oh wait. The things he was keeping inside the tattoo that were being stored in the resort. Did the manager take over these things too! Oi! Do you have the paper boat!
ok talked about this in discord for a bit. Near the end of part 2 KSE visits the resort and thinks to himself, ok, still like 600 days left. That's 1 year then some. But then in this ep, although 3 years seems to have passed for everyone else, the lodgekeeper says the contract ran out 27 hours ago. So - what's going on? Is this a past version of the resort? Or is it just that time flowed differently there?
I laughed at this twt.
A familiar face in a familiar place appearing in an abnormal form is an all-too-common anomaly.
'In the first place, Agent Haegeum wouldn't have closed the door like that upon seeing me.'
-> "So you say. Hey, from Agent Haegeum's perspective, you're the anomaly!"
this twt says the same thing I was worried about. Paraphrased :
"In the first place the lodgekeeper said they needed their employer to be someone with innate nobility etc.
And it was the socius tattoo that allowed KSE to hire him in the first place.
So, this situation seems to have happened not just bc the lodge keeper wanted to be a more powerful being (KSE spots this in the resort arc), but also bc KSE doesn't have the tattoo anymore.
That may be why the lodgekeeper refers to KSE as 'one-day cleaner'. He's no longer worthy of being treated as the owner."
Q. does the kr say it's also a mirror image for places that don't exist in reality? or is it similar ambiguous wording :O
A.
Alright first of all it's '피어 클리너' so I think it might be intended to be 'Fear Cleaner' lol

Wonder if JNS is sent to the same building. It's 25 people who went together. JNS might be not in the same batch, she was way far back when KSE looked back. Is she also cleaning some building with personal history I wonder
Also wonder if LSH might somehow appear? Maybe even LJH?
People on the tl naturally hoping for the Heouns. I wonder if they appear they would recognize him as the owner.
Oh wait, right, is this how he's gonna get the Good Friend doll again? Last time he did it through a gift shop that he created in his area. If that's still around in this version of the resort...
Omg could it be that bc of no tattoo, the resort manager will not recognize him as his employer? Regardless of whether there's contract time still left?
Ok wait. the contract time was three years then some iirc. People at discord helped me realize that roughly a year or so passed since then before KSE left the world (6 months as 130666 + 293 days during loop, among other things). And then 3 years passed. So....................
Also - I'm seeing people hope for Blue Mascot appearance, but I wonder if Blue Dragon is even still around? It's not like they wanted to be a mascot in the first place, and at the end of part 2 they regained their true power. Would they be still taking care of the theme park? ...Ig they might be, they might have gotten attached to it.
The solsah people on twt are hoping that KSE might pick up the paper boat from the resort - since, yk, the stuff inside the tattoo were kept somewhere in the resort...
Meanwhile the JNS fans seem happy that she regained her hair length, lol. I'm seeing twts like "The world is finally going right" etc. Happy for them but aw, I had grown fond of her short hair...
twt : "Well, it's only right you clean your own place."
So why is he not assigned a group this time? X,y,z? Does that mean he can have a lil more freedom than them ? But he’s still a worker..
Also the 100 days means that if he isn’t recycled in 100 days he’ll die?
But even if soleum takes control of the operating system, gets promoted to a regular employee..etc how is that gonna save him from becoming liquid? Since he already became one and his body is like a shell right? I guess since the white worm thing is a ghost story entity and the factory is a ghost story too if he can find a smart way to defeat it he can recover his body? Idk..
Even if we assume soleum will make use of the lizard body.then what about nasol and maybe seonghae..
-also i wanna ask, previously did saheon interfere with the dosage of the sedatives given to them ? That’s why they were able to wake up? Cuz if so then even if traumatic them waking up led to them knowing the details of the factory+going through basic recycling instead which led to them retaining their memories..or did saheon not interfere with the doses and they woke up in their own cuz they not as contaminated as the rest?
------
A.
group :
I think it doesn't matter since everyone will be assigned groups and numbers properly after this first job
100 days :
yes, KSE says if he isn't recycled in 100 days he dies. KSE knows that one can get promoted quickly in this branch office, so he is making a bet that that means you can get out of this body.
did saheon interfere with sedatives :
yes, in beginning of 403 KSE thinks back to BSH's words.
'You will be transferred early tomorrow morning after being administered sedatives and relaxants.… I'll make it so that you'll be back to consciousness slightly along the way, so don't worry too much.
that's why they both woke up. contamination has nothing to do with it.
--------
Anonymous asked:
Wait saheon is still at the branch right? If the translation isn’t wrong? But he can’t meet up with them to avoid suspicion..aw i’m gonna miss him(time to pile up chapters i guess)
-Soleum wanted to get promoted in a about a week right? Which I assumed would take around 10 chapters, but seeing how it started with the resort i think this promotion period might take around 20+chapters..hmm
-Also,saheon is supposed to be the one to report the results to the headquarters right? Since the researchers are greedy and would usually keep good stuff like this to themselves, unless this new researcher is somehow good
-Also did soleum say the people who turned into instruments have been discarded and not recycled?
+
Anonymous asked:
Did the contaminated/instrument workers also get recycled back into initial condition? Kinda missed that point...
--------
A.
is BSH still at the branch :
yes! per 405 -
With the arrival of the researcher, Baek Saheon, who had been in charge of things temporarily, had naturally been moved into a private office, being treated as a higher-up.
This means he is no longer in charge of field operations.
how long would KSE promotion take :
honestly the arcs have been taking longer in part 3… also, it could be just this one mini-arc (cleaning) or BDS could show us a bunch of them (though I doubt it…) I'd guess the cleaning arc would take less than 10 eps but idk honestly...
is saheon supposed to be the one to report results to headquarters :
yes :) presumably via reports from the researcher, but I'm sure he'll be able to get around that limitation
did the people who turned into instruments get discarded :
that is what KSE concludes. Among the two guys who bullied him, he only sees one of them, the one who didn't get turn into an instrument, and he thinks to himself that the ones who mutated into instruments must have been discarded.
Q. does the kr say it's also a mirror image for places that don't exist in reality? or is it similar ambiguous wording :O

Just a random thought: when our SoupSols realized their soup nature and Nasol rejected her sense of self (and her humanity), my first reaction was, "But you both can collect Dream Essence! So at least, you're categorically human!"
It's an easy conclusion to reach based on the story's logic, but then I started thinking... doesn't that also mean their humanity is being defined by whether they can be productive or "create value" to Daydream? That's a pretty bleak yardstick to use.
-----
A.
soupsols 😭
The dream essence thing is pretty interesting. LJH the alien can collect it. J3 can't - except when he is divided into past and present, the past self can. KSE the good friend can - as long as he believes himself to be human & is not heavily contaminated (the one time he couldn't collect it in part 1 was during resort arc, bc of the contamination). So it may be that the criteria is mainly 'contamination'.
But anyway, yeah. You're right. In the end, that's a criteria for whether they're useful human resources from Daydream's pov… That's interesting to think of.
I mean, people like J3 can be very helpful in navigating ghost stories and finding missing people (as we see during Sangun) but he is not allowed to pursue that bc it doesn't benefit the company since he can't collect dream essence.
I do wonder whether we'll learn more about dream essence, since it didn't originate from Daydream. It was Cheerful Research Institute who first made use of dream essence, wasn't it?

A. the color is 주홍색, which is reddish orange. It's often translated as scarlet. However, since it's similar to 주황색 which is just orange, people often understand it to mean orange as well. Plus, two of Jeju's signature exports is mandarins and mandarin/orange hybrids. Hence why you're probably seeing a lot of orange jokes.
Left is search results for 주홍색 (the goo), right is 주황색
+ Did you notice the cover change?
the text on the sticker on the neck for today's ep was updated to reflect today's ep!
--------
Thoughts
omg I was worried about how JNS might take it. Immediately she doesn't take it well. She's so calm about it, that's the worrying part 😭
good thing KSE is now an expert at handling self identity crisis…
oh he even says it. This is a subject he's contemplated a lot
it's as he says… He's been worse.
OMG NO!
oh thank god I was worried JNS would lose her memories
oh wow KSE!
ok this was a lot more hopeful ep than I imagined. KSE has been through such hell before that this time he recovered and got a handle on things super quickly. It was like looking at Park Moondae almost. The determination!
It was pointed out to me that BSH didn't see the color of the goo. Imagining BSH bringing them some of those premium orange/mandarin hybrids Being like hey... since we're at jeju you should at least drink some hanrabong juice... not that I was thinking about you or anything... (KSE, JNS : .....)
OK jokes aside I really loved that scene.
"What are you talking about?"
Baek Saheon’s pupils trembled violently, then hardened and sank.
"What the… what…."
"I’m sorry."
"So what if you're sorry? If it was going to be like this, you shouldn’t have dragged me into this in the first place. Why would you say that now when you've already dragged me in…!"
With a thud, Baek Saheon grabbed me by the collar. Senseless, panic-like rage surged from his eyes.
"Don’t you give up! You’re still alive and moving! It’s not too late yet…"
"I'm not giving up."
"…!!"
"Why would I give up?"
I met Baek Saheon’s widened eyes and spoke in a low voice.
"When I can still try."
Such a good scene. BSH getting mad, almost feeling betrayed about having failed to save KSE and JNS. But then he gets mad that KSE might be giving up on his life.
Many people on twt pointed this out - BSH has previously seen KSE talk about 'sometimes wanting to die' during Jisan. They seemingly bonded over it, even - from that ep, BSH, even though he's so attached to his life, seemingly also has experienced suicidal urges.
Throughout this arc BSH has been urging at KSE to put his own life first. (sometimes under the mistaken assumption that KSE would risk his own life for a lost cause) And that's what he immediately does this time as well - except, of course KSE isn't giving up.
KSE isn't the type to give up on his own life, that one time in Jisan being the outlier. (even in that ep, he didn't give up until the very last moment with the centipede.)
Besides, like he himself says in this ep, he's been through a lot worse than this. He spent nearly the entirety of part 2 pondering what he is, what he can be, when he isn't human (or even the og KSE). He's like a veteran at this now.
Anyway it was a nice scene.
People on twt talking about how sah and sol alternate being the anxious one and the stable one, lol.
The 'KSE will rise to the level of Director' theory gaining points...
twt about JNS :
"I think she's someone who finds it easy to give up on life, perhaps because she worked in a profession where human beings were treated like mere parts (something like a mercenary) and lived with persistent, subtle pain.
(she was just stuck at the branch office / she almost died after being showered with hydrochloric acid during the magic bunny parade).
To be honest, what KSE did in this episode felt like a temporary stopgap measure to block JNS from thinking any deeper, but for that very reason I think it was a good thing KSE was around. Otherwise, JNS seems like the kind of woman who would quickly reach the conclusion of "I'm giving up on my life" and carry it out."
ask on 404 : mtl question (the img translation) + thoughts
Anonymous asked:
In chapter 404, we get to see how KSE is really the only one keeping it together lol. JNS almost gives up and BSH freaks out, and yet KSE is out here like “Ah, I’ve gone through worse things.” It’s nice to see him be very sure of his own identity, because out of anyone I’m sure he would be the one to have the strongest understanding of himself given the circumstances.
It makes me very happy, because it feels very different from KSE’s avoidant attitude we saw in part 1 for example. Mentally, he’s actually doing the best he’s ever been! Despite the circumstances…
I thought the chapter being about certainty in one’s own identity was a bit ironic given the chapter number (404: not found) and I wonder if that was intentional?
ANYWAYS, my mtl question is: what does the new sticker say? The sticker on KSE’s neck has changed, and this was reflect in the cover too, but what words does it use exactly and how is it different from before?
Thank you!
------
A.
Ok answer to mtl question first.
At first, the sticker said :
Z999
Classification : Worker
Days left : 84
and then, in ep 399 :
Z999
This worker has left their position
Capture required
And in beginning of 404 (the one shown on the day's cover) :
Expendable
Expired Item
Please call the disposal manager
Then, after the recycling procedure :
Number To Be Decided
Classification : Worker
Days left : 100
Hope that helps!
----
Yeah, it was so good to see KSE doing well!
It's like he said this ep, KSE really went thorugh it all before. He spent the entirety of part 2 wrestling with the question of self-identity. Those days didn't go to waste.
I think KSE's relatively healthy state of mind might also be affected by having spent a year outside of ghost stories, in his comfortable home & the og KSE having spent a year (or maybe three?) receiving therapy.
Following paragraph contains DoD ep 404 spoiler :
In DoD, ep 404 featured a 'System error' of sorts. However, the end result was positive. It featured a character overcoming the System and regaining his own self. You could say that it also featured 'certainty in one's own identity'. So yes, maybe it was deliberate writing on GSGW as well.
If kse somehow ends up becoming a director in the long run,I really want him to make saheon and nasol have high positions under his wing or basically like his right hand men but still a respectful position, which in the case of this company idk what’s the highest thing after director but anyway he should do something like that..especially saheon who voluntarily decided to help him without him himself being in the same situation as him..anyway reward your day ones!
-------
A.
haha I can picture it.
Assuming Daydream works like a normal company (which weirdly it does in a lot of ways) I don't think a single Director would have enough power to promote someone all the way to near the top BUT it seems like both Cheong and Ho had a lot of pull in office politics & BSH and JNS themselves are close to ideal Daydream employees…
Idk that the novel will take the route of 'KSE goes all the way to the top' but it's fun to imagine KSE being a director with people like BSH and JNS as his right hands. (If he can have 37 eyes he can have 2 right hands)
Ok the chapter went better than i expected,it’s nice to see soleum having such a clear sense of identity..
And we kinda predicted that he’ll go a similar route to director ho🎉sorry but despite everything I really enjoy the story much more when it’s around daydream
-but the basic recycling that soleum did ,how is it different from the other workers? How was he able to retain his memories?
-and my pookie was waiting for them and didn’t leave 🥹he even panicked a little seeing his efforts go to waste, but instead of giving up he was even trying to encourage soleum!! If even after all this soleum still thinks he’s doing it for benefits..
-does this mean saheon will help him in exploring darknesses with him and nasol?💕please say yes i wanna see him for another arc too,i mean soleum didn’t exclude him when talking about his plans so
------------
A.
Yeah it was so nice seeing KSE having grown after going through the entirety of part 2 (and also having spent a year healing at the real world while his og self received therapy lol)
Curious to see if he really will rise to the top! Will he go the Moondae route…
re: basic recycling, KSE deduces that the 'Custom 26' is the setting that is currently used, and that the branch office's recycling has enough specific settings that they're now at 'Custom 26'. He further deduces that this means 'Basic Recycling' is the one that only does basic recycling procedures. (i.e. no messing with memories and such)
Yes BSH was waiting for them outside and even was like 'Are you here? Good.' haha. I also liked how KSE was so gentle in letting him find out about the truth of the factory.
I'd love to see more of the branch office trio! I don't think BSH himself will go exploring darknesses with them, but KSE's plan would benefit from having a section chief by his side, right? (unless something bad happens to BSH… which I really hope it doesn't…)
I mean it’s just theories but omg this makes soleum and saheon relationship even more complicated..
And like the way soleum told the researcher he will die these days and he actually died…soleum does give creepy vibes sometimes..
---------------------------------
A.
hmmmm
hmmmmmm
Interesting theory.
The thing is, so far, what we know about Ireum-nim all fits with the simple meta truth of this actually being the wiki writers.
Therefore, so far, from what we know, it doesn't work like normal god & believer stuff.
Ok so let's look at the Ireum-nim article from ep 237.
Ireum-nim.
The being worshipped by the Nameless Radiance Church, a cult religion appearing in . It is said that only their will and choices hold meaning in this world.
In fact, their true identity is [Spoiler].
Content revealed by clicking Spoiler.
Writers of the wiki.
(…)
The Nameless Radiance Church worships this 'Writer: Name', having mistaken them as a great divine being.
and here's what KSE says to the happy ending sect twins in the same ep :
Death is not an escape.
One cannot escape from Ireum-nim.
"Th-that's."
Therefore, death cannot be
▶ happiness.
▶ an ending.
It means there is no such thing as a happy ending.
Therefore, going around killing people under that pretext is...
Doctrinal contradiction
Meaningless act
(and then the happy ending twins reveal that they know this fully well & that they are only acting out this pretense so that the wiki writers would find them entertaining etc)
and then, earlier, from ep 199 :
"There is no freedom in this world.
"This world belongs to Ireum-nim. It has meaning only when chosen by Ireum-nim - you must acknowledge this truth, practice self-discipline, and plant and cultivate the seeds of the source in the world to be chosen by Them.
"Your free will is meaningless; only Ireum-nim's will and choice have meaning."
"The weak who cannot accept this truth have fled the world to death, but that is not an escape."
He declares.
"There is no escape from Ireum-nim."
……
"This word is liberation."
So, so far the Ireum-nim thing has been very consistent with the 'wiki writers' concept.
Because what can written characters really achieve by believing in & worshiping the writers who are writing them?
Nothing.
The only way the characters can affect things is by being so entertaining to read that the writers decide to keep writing them.
Of course, now that KSE has made personal relationships with these characters, that's another way for them to affect Ireum-nim.
Idk about characters affecting Ireum-nim's powers by worshipping Ireum-nim, though, esp since so far canon has denied this again and again. Ig it could be revealed that something like that is going on later of course, but as of now, idk.
I did find the researcher death prediction interesting. Could Ireum-nim's words, even when not intended, have world-writing capabilities...

I think another reason why i like saheon is that, novels like this are filled with kind characters and self sacrificial characters and victims who remain kind despite every horrible thing they went through..so seeing a character who prioritises himself instead, and a victim who reflects the trauma he experienced in every action and decision he does,a victim who didn’t remain kind and sad despite the horrors ,is refreshing…he is both a victim and perpetrator, and he’s not a beautiful victim that invites sympathy from readers(except some specific times) and I like that..he’s messy,he’s mentally not stable and have had meltdowns,he can be annoying in how he talks,he’s realistic..
It is why i could never hate jin nasol as well,(tho i think jin nasol is made to be more palatable since she’s cool and has aura, and overall seems mature)and even back then when so many people hated ho yuwon i didnt hate him and i thought he was intriguing
So i think its a shame when people only limit themselves to morally good characters but to each their own
Yes! I think BSH and Ho Yuwon are similar in that they're victims who are not picture-perfect victims.
They're victims who are, frankly speaking, terrible people. They lived through trauma and it made their hearts ugly.
Some thoughts on Ho. (plus a bit on RJK and JNS)
I didn't like Ho at first bc his way of talking reminded me too much of irl bosses orz… but when he began to get personal and emotional at the end of part 1, then I began to get intrigued.
My favorite Ho moment is actually when he pushes RJK into the evil torture box.
I really love that ep (240) bc it shows everyone's character so clearly.
Dolphin saying they should sacrifice the most evil people.
Choi going, excuse me? sacrifice civilians? and then RJK going, no, if we're sacrificing anyone, we as the government will do the choosing.
Which, as it turns out, was like 'dancing on Ho's trauma buttons' as a twt user put it.
So Ho goes, okay. This time, I do the choosing.
And then he pushes RJK, the most Bureau-like agent, into the box.
Even back when we didn't know about the extent of Ho's deal, it was clear that what RJK said had pushed Ho's buttons in some way.
I also love the convo between Ho and RJK in a later ep (290).
RJK goes, look, the Bureau isn't perfect, but at least they did what they did to save more people. But you're putting people at harm for your own private goal. Do you think your behavior can be justified by your resentment?
To which Ho goes : Why should it be justified? There's no such thing in the world as justified action. You just have to know that every choice comes with a price, and handle that.
It really shows how they see the world differently. RJK is always trying to sincerely do the 'right' thing in an objective way. Meanwhile, Ho views the world as entirely subjective. The Bureau wronged him, so he holds resentment. Presumably, he is also aware that his actions of wronging others have resulted in resentment against him as well, and is prepared to handle that price.
Ho is such an interesting character and a great foil to both Ryu and Choi imo though I only talked about Ryu here.
Anyway, yeah, anon, I also find characters who are morally complex to be intriguing.
Even Ryu who I mentioned above. He's a murderer! People often forget this.
And Jin Nasol, yeah, she was so cruel against poor Heoun. Although less people dislike her (I imagine another reason than the ones you mentioned is that she has a positive attitude towards the protag) she definitely is shown to be a person who is cruel to the weak, to those at the bottom of the totem pole - which is made more complex when we learn more about her in part 3.
All in all I really like how GDCG treats those characters.
I know what saheon did in first chapters really left a bad impression on both readers and kse..and I’m not justifying both the self harm and harming other..but at the end of that arc didn’t the people who did nothing and only got carried by kse ended up dying..? So if saheon didnt act on his own and only followed kse lead he could have very much died right?
I know some of his actions in part 1 was horrible but I really can never blame him too much, most of his decisions are out of a calculated need for survival and self preservation, even if harmful..
I really think he’s such a well written character
But also seeing him slowly opening up because of kse and bending the walls he built around himself his whole life and risking his safety like this..is both tragic yet beautiful..at the end he too was a human that craved connection..but that connection will come at the price of him having to risk himself..which is the reason why people build these walls in the first place..
Well i just hope he stays safe by the end of it all..and here’s hoping for more screentime 😁!
-------
A.
Anon omg I think that first arc is so so well written. Such a good intro to his character. (And KSE and GYE as well! but focusing on BSH here)
Man I wrote a whole thing about that ep and accidentally deleted it 🥀 might try to rewrite it later as a separate post… anyway
Yes you're right. Everyone but BSH, KSE, GYE and the guy who lost his eye to BSH (presumably bc he did end up sacrificing an eye as well) dies, bc they were carried by KSE. It's not out of the question (and even likely imo) that in a KSE-less world, BSH would have been the only one to survive out of that train car.
So BSH very much made the correct choice for survival.
He really is a well written character.
I think, in BDS's prev work, morality was a bit simpler aside from this one guy who I won't name. Charas like BSH, esp, I think would have ended as a minor villain. I think BSH is one of the attempts by BDS to try something different from DoD - to make a guy like this a major chara (even the first one to talk to KSE in the ghost story world) and give him pathos and narrative depth and a complicated relationship with the protagonist that evolves throughout the story…
Anyway I really enjoy him a lot.
You're right that this is a risky route for BSH to take. He's been purely geared towards survival, treating other people as tools, but now he's bonding with other people and opening himself up. By doing this he is risking physical, material and emotional harm.
But also, look at his life until now. In part 2, we get a bit of what he's like at home, and he's just lying on the sofa. In the current day, he's the section chief of a major corpo who probably makes tons of money, and yet he's never even been to Jeju Island. He has no family (none that he loves that is), no friends, and, I suspect, no hobbies.
And that's how his life would have ended, if it followed DER. Whether because of some darkness or because of the apocalypse, it would have been cut short, while he's still a section chief, presumably still in his early thirties.
Idk where I'm going with this. Ig one thing I'm trying to say is, his prev way of life wouldn't have guaranteed complete safety either. Even though BSH is a seasoned veteran at survival, nobody can control their fate in the world completely. And I think it'd have been sad if he died so early while having spent the last years of his life living with nothing but survival on his mind.
Anyway yeah. I too hope he continues to have regular screentime and stay safe till the end!

A. the color is 주홍색, which is reddish orange.

Thoughts
omg I was worried about how JNS might take it.

No but like, considering most people who were involved with ho project ended up in weird states like this makes us suspect that someone was trying to get rid of them? Maybe cheong held a grudge or something or it could be whatever, and i know saheon was smart to separate himself from the project early on but I’m sure people were still aware that he was with the project at some point,so what if they chose to keep him for now cuz they think he’s not totally on ho’s side and they can make use of him some more?or he simply was smart and was able to escape their clutches until now..but this is why he was sent to this branch..to observe what he’ll do and what if after seeing him tryna help some workers they decided to get rid of him too…? I’m saying he might not be as safe as we think but i could be totally wrong..

anon I've actually seen similar theories on krtwt as well (╥ᆺ╥;)
It's like you said, what if he was sent to this branch on purpose? to test him, or something?
Some people also theorize that Cheong knew or even planned KSE's arrival at the branch… which, if this isn't KSE's first round, maybe he got noticed on previous rounds… in that case, maybe it makes sense to send BSH and see what he'll do…
Personally I don't know that this isn't KSE's first round because I feel like in that case KSE would have stood out on prev rounds as well, and then the researcher surely would have noticed him earlier.
But the possibility is out there.
Another theory I heard is if BSH, being a newbie section chief (presumably), is relatively disposable / not with a lot of power compared to other higher-ups and hence sent to this branch where dangerous things are ongoing.
Anyway I hope it's just conspiracy and that BSH is thriving at the office while his underlings go missing in darkness every day 🙏
A twt said back then all of them jumped from the train except for saheon..and now all of them are recycled too except for saheon (assuming seonghae is recycled too)
And..? What’s the meaning behind this? Is this some kinda meta thing that the world decided to choose those who fell and make them go through the same thing? So if saheon fell back then he would have been in the same situation as them? Like maybe it’s some kind of narrative meta stuff idk what I’m saying but this is crazy..this is why saheon isn’t too reckless in gambling his life..it seems anything you do in this world might have consequences later cuz it’s a big wiki in itself..🥀
------
I saw that twt too!
I don't know that it necessarily means anything in-story (as in if tamra directly affected their current fates), since doing the tamra jump was shown as ultimately a good thing that leads to improvements in your morality. But it is an interesting parallel.
In-story, maybe they'll all get into some trouble that they're only able to escape bc of them having done the tamra jump, or something?
If it really is that them doing the tamra jump affected their fates...
We all made fun of BSH for being the one person to not do the 'this will improve your morals' jump. Be funny if in the end, BSH's self-preservation instincts won out once again.
We all made fun of bsh but bsh is also always the one that is left unscathed besides his one eye despite everything is always interesting to me but now that he is trying to understand more and open his heart tho he is definitely in danger more I think
----
A.
Oh I made fun of him for not doing the 'be a better person' jump in tamra, but I feel that his self preservation instincts are nothing to laugh at 🙂↕️
Even that eye is a sign of him finding his own way to survive. The others just followed KSE, and KSE had the wiki knowledge. BSH had none of it and survived that situation on his own.
Him leaving the Ho project team after KSE went missing was impeccable timing as well. Look at Jin Nasol, she was elite among elites and now she's been basically thrown away as trash. It's even worse then we initially thought, she's just being used as raw material basically, it's even worse than the fate of J3 imo. (Now that I'm thinking about this I'm really worried how JNS is gonna take this revelation… 😭 Nasol I'm rooting for you…) The others haven't fared well either, seemingly. Meanwhile BSH survived and even got promoted twice in the span of 3 years.
But yeah, it looks like he's gonna be taking more risks, right?
The initial risk he took in saving KSE and JNS paid off for him in more than just the feeling of comaraderie and fulfillment - thanks to KSE he figured out that he should escape, and thanks to deciding to stick with them to the end he got items & high grade dream essence.
But as he takes more and more risks, there'll be higher and higher chance of him getting into danger…
Still, with BSH, I'm not too worried about his physical well being.
His emotional well being though...
...Actually, come to think of it, I'm not that worried about that either. I think he's a pretty resilient guy.
Still, here's hoping things don't go the worst way they could.
