She feels as much as she hears Dogmeat’s gentle huff at her hand and knows she must’ve been standing there for a little while. Cooper’s still a ways off, but it’s obvious he doubled back at some point. A bad sign. Rolling her shoulders, she hefts her bag and starts walking. “Just taking in the scenery.” They both know it’s a lie, there’s nothing out here. But whether Cooper is going to call her on it is a different question. After a moment of consideration, he grunts, turning back to march forward and Lucy sighs in relief. They’ve still got a couple hours left of daylight according to her pip boy and the faster they find somewhere to hunker down so she can spiral out in private, the happier she’ll be. In love with the irradiated version of her former favorite movie star — well, she'll figure it out.
