Can you tell us more about Br!Bedrockbros (dynamics, more about their complicated relationship, or any hints about their dynamic in the future :D) , since I really like their dynamic so much and I'm so excited to see how it will progress throughout the third arc (especially with theseus murdering wilbur)
It's been a while since we have had any bedrock bros interaction in the story, but that is indeed subject to change in arc 3!
I think their relationship has been very much defined by Wilbur – how much he'd allow them to interact growing up, and then bonding over the fact that he's gone – and that will hold true, more than ever before, going forward. In the conversation of how Wilbur emotionally abused Tommy in the past, it is easy to forget that Techno has also been significantly affected by his behavior and actions, including but not limited to being deprived of ability to bond with Tommy. Growing up, Wilbur did absolutely use Tommy as way of controlling and punishing his twin in a 'do what I want, and you get to talk to him, and if you displease me I might not allow you near for a long time' kind of way. This conditioning has run for so long and for so deeply that, to this day, Techno experiences a lot of guilt and apprehension surrounding all and any interaction with Tommy. To him, it is a privilege that he feels he doesn't deserve. Tommy, being 8 whole years younger and suffering the complete other end of spectrum of Wilbur's manipulations, doesn't have the capacity or the information needed to understand Techno. They love each other very much, but their history together, and the emotions associated with it, are almost wholly negative.
In Arc 3, I aim to make br!Techno ask himself some very difficult questions – the value of family over duty, the cost of complacency, the meaning of freedom – and confront the shift of Tommy from Wilbur’s brother to Wilbur's murderer. The decisions he'll come to make may very well put him up there with br!Phil in terms of being hated by die-hard br!Tommy advocates.
