Delusion of a false goddess
Eyes remained staring ahead as the silence of the realm hit him. He was not where he belonged. Wait, yes, he was. He had given everything to a woman he thought he loved. He had done the most for her, given her a new life in Hell, a new title and in the end, she chose another and killed him for it. Not just anyone, her proclaimed brother. That brother who magically decided he was in love with her and that he was far better at loving her. She apparently took loving family very seriously. That was the worst joke he could say. Except it wasnât a joke. It was very real, and he paid the price for it. Lucky him. As he stood there, allowing his thoughts to really sit on that fact, he felt rage. He felt that emotion trying to take control, but there was another on top of it. It was exhaustion. He was so very tired.
His fingers touched his cheek, realizing he was crying. How long had it been since he shed a tear? Not long truthfully with how badly Nyxon manipulated him and broke him. Not long with how it was always him taking the abuse. He wasnât meant to cry. He wasnât that type. Not after his parents' death. Not after almost dying by his own brother and definitely not after Lucifer tortured him and turned him to be just like a Hell hound. Yet here he was. Dead and crying.
"Why are you here Lector?"
He rubbed his eyes and noticed stylish black heels. He looked up as the taller woman came into focus. She was gorgeous with jet black hair that curled around her very face, eyes as white as pearls and her skin was just as dark as the area around him, but she still looked flawless.
"Will I receive an answer?"
she was talking to him. He rubbed his eyes again, trying to regain himself. How embarrassing that he was crying in front of the demoness "I'm sorry Lady Abyssia'' He cursed at himself for being a mess in front of her. Of all the people to possibly pass by in this realm, it had to be her, but it made sense in an odd way. This was her domain. "No apologies needed, you are allowed to have feelings, and you're allowed to express them. Whether you're a demon or not.' She proceeded to cup his face to look at her directly. Her touch was gentle, similar to a mother caressing her child "You do not belong here and yet, here you stand before me" His frown mimicked the one gracing her lips. "Let us fix that'' He couldn't react as her lips lightly touched his forehead and, in a flash, he was back home in Hell, alive once more.
They were back in the room where the seven gods sat, and Nyxon so boldly sat beside the god of lust.
Abyssia smiled as she stood straight. "Mother goddess, what do we owe for your visit?" He kept his eyes on the goddess, as she took to standing next to him. He didn't want to look at anyone in the room. He didnât want to get angry again or cause a big scene, so he let the older goddess do the talking. "Where is my sister?" Her eyes were on Nyxon, she didn't have to ask. "I hold her in my heart now" The goddess let out a laugh "Mistake number one" She brought her hand up to her chest, a small diamond appearing "She is not to be touched by anyoneâ The noise of a chair being moved got their attention. Everyone turned their gaze towards Rhinxe "Mother goddess, she has been accepted into our ranks as a way to keep Crystalis safe and our life.â
Lector turned his gaze to the floor. He learned he was not allowed to say anything. No one ever listened to him when he said anything involving Nyxon, but now Abyssia was. She was going to change the outcome, he hoped. "Mistake number two" Now Abyssia walked to Rhinxe, she was the same height at first, but as she neared him, she got taller, adding a few good inches past the lesser god which now made her almost tower over him. Looking down at him, he was bent down to show respect to her. "I did what was best, at the time Mother goddess" Rhinxe finally stood straight but kept his lavender eyes on the floor. He could feel Abyssia was growing angry at the admission "You gave my sister to a pest. Believing she was suddenly capable of keeping her safe? Did you forget what I said when you were created? The deal you made with me when your mother was imprisoned? If so, let me remind you."
Her eyes flashed a pink hue making the rest of the siblings shrink away. Putting distance between them and Abyssia. They knew what she was capable of. âWhen it came to her safety and the safety of your very life, she was to be returned to me. No one was to dare have her. No one beside me. Yet, you handed her off to some angel that was never meant to be here in the first place. Explain to me how that is safe? Did you also forget angels are not your friends, your lovers, your comrades. You wanted free will and yet you completely put all of Hell in jeopardy."
"I'm not a pest, I'm a goddess just like you" Nyxon interjected, clearly ignoring the daggers of eyes on her.
Nyxon had stood from her chair, her chest puffing out. "You are no goddess, nor are you like me. Youâre just an insolent child. Mistake number three.â Abyssia now was staring at Nyxon "The fact that my sister's creation chose you, a disgusting angel pretending to be a demon. it only proves how incapable they are at keeping her safeâ Lector now was looking at Nyxon who was staring back wide-eyed. âBut I'm the new keeper, you have no right to talk to me like that!â Lector opened his mouth to warn Abyssia of her powers, but he quickly snapped shut as Abyssia snatched Nyxon by the throat with a quickness that caused the table and chairs to be shoved out of the way.
âWhat was that? Iâm not allowed to talk to you? Bless your heart for thinking you can compare to me. Honestly, itâs laughableâ Abyssia was now staring down her nose at Nyxon. She reminded her of a gnat. small, insignificant and an inconvenience to Hell. Lucien, who was sitting next to her, was now on his feet. âTell me, child of lust. What is your relationship to this thing?â All eyes were on him now, he could hear the other siblings whispering. âThey are partners, my goddess.â Lector was now walking toward them âLord Lucien and Lady Nyxon had chosen to share beds while she was vowed to me, multiple times.â He pulled off the ring that was still on his finger âI devoted myself to her, yet she decided his bed was warmer than the one we shareâ He dropped the ring as Abyssia tightened her grip, causing Nyxon to gasp for air âWhy are you struggling? I thought you were a goddess? We donât need air to really breathe, but I guess you wouldnât know that. A false goddess is far worse than a demon.â
Her eyes turned to Lucien âSo you slept with the pest and filled her head with lies?â Lucien nodded slightly then turned his amber eyes away from Abyssia's glare âI believe I may have gotten carried away. I didn't mean for it to get serious. I had no intention of staying with her or be serious with her.â Abyssia couldnât contain the laugh that erupted from her âFirst you chose her for Crystalis, then you chose her as your new bed warmer. You do realize in that context. You were intimate with your sisterâ Lector couldnât help but loudly gag. That was the reason he was sent to Abyssia. He called her out for being a brother fucker but everyone, stupidly ignored that and called him the worst for ruining her âhappiness.â
âI realized, mother goddess. A cruel joke that went too farâ Lucien was now bowing as he spoke in a low tone âI realized after she demanded Rhinxe kill the prince that it got out of hand. I take the blame for her head getting so bigâ Abyssia had released her grip on Nyxon's throat, causing the shorter female to fall to her knees, still gasping for air. âMistake number fourâ a âtsk, tsk, tskâ left Abyssia's lips as she turned to Lector, her eyes now back to its unusual white color âFour mistakes, time to fix this annoying problem.â She placed her hand on Lectorâs head, giving him a small pat âI will make things right again, donât worry your little pretty head cannibalâ His eyes landed on Nyxon rubbing her throat and glaring at Abyssia. He wasnât surprised when she used her control on shadows to attempt to grab at the other goddess âYou will regret ever touching meâ Though her shadow moved, the goddess was unbothered âRhinxe my dear, I will give you one more little chance.â
The goddess of the Abyss had her hand stretched out with the diamond of Hell âYou and your siblings are to KEEP Crystalis with you. No one is to ever touch herâ Though she was talking to Rhinxe, it was Kiono, a woman with brunette hair in a French braid and heterochromia eyes that were split between green and hazel that moved forward and took Abyssia's hand that held the diamond âI will take that burden Mother goddess. I will do better to ensure we do not make the same mistakeâ The female goddess held the object close to her chest as she moved away from Abyssia, Rhinxe now moved forward. âI greatly apologize, mother goddess. I did not fully think of the consequence.â
Rhinxe had once again bowed to the other âHer title will be stripped. She will no longer hold any ties to being a goddess or part of Hell's royals and most of all, she will be given to the wardens to entertainâ The shadows that Nyxon was trying so desperately to use against Abyssia stilled âYou canât do that! I have children!â All eyes were back on Nyxon as she finally stood, turning to Lucien âHoney, you have to tell her she canât just strip me of my rank! I have earned this! Think of what will happen to our family!â
They watched as Lucien shook his head âMy family are my siblings, not the kids you so easily popped outâ That seemed to have broken her again. She let out a loud cry as her shadow powers attempted to attack Abyssia âIt's all your fault!â The shadows stilled once they got close to Abyssia.
The taller goddess walked back to Lector, not paying mind to the shadows that were desperately trying to grab at her. âYou're weak and yet you believe that shadows of all things would dare touch me. Honestly, you should be thanking me for that power. You really are a spoiled child that was allowed to believe you meant anything.â She snapped her fingers, and the shadow disappeared for a minute, then a small pearl ring appeared on her index finger âIâll gladly take that back since you misused it and clearly took it for grantedâ Abyssia stared at the new ring and smiled âWhat else belongs to meâ Another snap of her fingers and another ring appeared, this time an obsidian stone on her pinky âAh! There we go, intuition. Though, not exactly a power. Your insistent nagging made it and now it belongs to me. Thank you" She smiled, exposing the fangs behind her rosy lips.
âWhat else are you holding?"
Nyxon only watched in horror and shock, her tears gliding down her cheek. "How? You can't just take my strong intuition power or my shadow! I was born with them!" Her eyes moved between Rhinxe and Abyssia, panic finally setting in. She was feeling weaker than ever. "I am the creator and mother of all demons, the beginning of their powers and the end of it. You clearly used these gifts in the worst way and abused it. What I gave, I can easily take back. Did they never teach you? I mean clearly. Seeing how you assumed you were anything like me, let alone powerful enough to stand against me. I guess it's my own doing since I stayed isolated in my realm. It's rather strange how you made a feeling, a power. Intuition? I wouldn't have thought of that. That tingle power will cease its existence. It really has no use here in Hell." They heard the door of the room open and in walked Inuki and Illuser, the appointed wardens of Hell âWe received orders.â
Nyxon's head now turned to face them âNo orders were given. Return to your areaâ The one called Inuki only laughed âNot from the likes of you. Our orders are from Lady Abyssia" When eyes were back on the older goddess, she gave a small wave âAs long as I am here, all of Hell follows my will and orders, wardens would you both take the pest away.â The two had nodded in unison and proceeded to grab Nyxon, tying her with the chains that Illuser, the male, was holding. Once they were done with that, they dragged her out âNow, to fix the other dumb mistakes madeâ With Eyes back on Abyssia, she gave a small yawn âLector Kain will be the prince yet again, or equivalence of it based on Lucifer Morningstarâs choice. He will also no longer be at your mercy. Instead, he is now within my controlâ She walked over to Lector now, grabbing his hand. She hummed lightly as everyone watched. With ease she pricked his finger, gathering the blood in a small vial she had attached to her neck. The finger that was pricked turned black for a second, then the black coloration shifted to two black lines around his finger. âThey cannot take your life so easily now. You are under my protection and my will, sweet cannibal. I will ensure you continue your life. If they make an attempt, I will knowâ With a soft smile she placed another kiss on his forehead then walked past him, leaving him to stare at the new mark.
She was now tapping her chin as she paced around the room âlet's see, what else. Oh!â She removed the rings from her fingers and crushed them without a second thought âThese annoying powers are to no longer exist, on top of that her so called children? They will be wiped from existenceâ She blinked âAh what were the names again? Kan, Eels, Daymen, Blane, and what was the last oneâ Her eyes settled on Lucien who looked away. âAle and Karikoâ The older goddess nodded and shook her hands, Scrolls quickly appearing before her âCease existence. No longer holding life. Nothing. Done and gone.â The scrolls instantly disappeared in a quick flame as she patted her hands as if cleaning away some kind of dust on it.
After checking on Lector once more and ensuring Rhinxe and the lesser gods were understanding her orders, Abyssia helped clean the room that she caused a mess in. The table was back in place, along with its chair âWith that all done. I will visit the other higher gods. Lector, sweetie, be safe. Lucien, find yourself someone thatâs not able to be your sibling and Rhinxe, be stricter on your choices. I really donât want to have to return and put you on time outâ Now Abyssia vanished.
Lector blinked a few times, before it hit that he was still in Hell, and he was given another chance at life âOhâ He blinked again. Kiono had moved past him, excusing herself as she left the room. Lucien on the other hand was sitting at the table again. His dirty blond hair was sticking out of the bun it originally was in âWell shitâ his amber eyes landing on him âWeâre finally free of her cannibal. We should celebrate not having weird pet names or me being called something remotely close to salad.â
With annoyance, Abyssia waltzed into the room where the other gods had agreed to meet her after she sent a sudden message to them. All eyes turned on her as she approached the round table where they sat âThanks for showing up on short notice, we have a big issue to fix, and I am already over my head with the bullshit I had to deal withâ As she sat down, a teacup was placed in front of her, and the one called Gaia was already pouring liquid into her cup.
âTell us what we are dealing with.â
She couldnât stop the warm smile that spread across her lips as she looked at the woman beside her. Beautiful with light green hair that was braided with an assortment of flowers and left to rest over her shoulder. Her eyes were just as green and bright as her personality. âThank you Lady Gaia'' The woman nodded in return and sat back down between her and Unera âWhat caused you to call us?â Eyes were now on Eldryn as They spoke. They had their feet resting on the table. âThereâs rampant angels and some false gods attempting to change everything weâve made. My sisterâs creation filled her head with the biggest ego, and she went on a power tripâ Abyssia couldnât stop herself from slamming her fists on the table, causing hers and the otherâs cup to shake suddenly from the force.
Heaven's God rolled their eyes as they sat up straight. âYou gotta give us more information Abbyâ The abyssal demon sent an apologetic glance towards the two other goddesses sitting at the table. âA pest named Nyxon had gotten in her head that she was on the same level as usâ Abyssia had taken a sip from her cup âShe dared tell me she was Crystalisâ protector! The literal audacity of some kid who clearly couldnât decide if she was a demon or an angel. Talk about the biggest headache!â Her eyes shifted colors for a few seconds âShe believed she could even touch me with the powers I created! I am speechless! No, clearly, Iâm not speechless but you get the ideaâ She watched as the others stared at her âDid you devour her?â
She groaned as Gaia asked softly âI didnât. I should have. However, I decided to leave her in Hell to suffer at the hands of the wardens. Things are going back to normal, but I did bring this up to you guys because she had accomplices that may have created disturbances in other realms and areas that we have control of.â Eldryn sighed as they flicked their wrist, a few scrolls appeared on the table. Unera didn't bother to reach for one. She already knew about the situation due to whispers from her Seraph and her oracle. They may not be involved, but they had good intel. Gaia also kept herself from reaching for one, she didnât see a reason to, since her mortal realm was not tampered with as far as she knew. âLet's see. Kaillou? Old goddess that suddenly became present? Since when?â
Abyssia couldnât help but chuckle as she grabbed another scroll âAstreva, believes sheâs an angel of Heaven, also allowed in Hell. Thatâs suspicious. Hey Eldryn, are angels even allowed in Hell? Cause the last time we discussed this, you said that was still a huge no goâ She looked up from the scroll she was reading, towards the one she spoke to. Their nose crinkled with disgust, wrinkles appearing on their forehead as they furrowed their brows. Skimming through the scroll in their hand. âWho the fuck are these people? What kinda name is Astreva?â The scroll was put down as another was grabbed âTo answer your question Abby, under my strict and very clear rules, no angels are allowed in that territory, nor are demons allowed within my gates. Same as these so-called half breed. Who the fuck is Nessira? Some pathetic type of villain? What is all this bullshit Iâm reading? Nyxon did the most for no good reason.â
The scroll was put down as eyes were on Gaia and then Unera. They were still not touching the scrolls, instead refilling their tea âI know of Nyx. Thought she was of another area, but it seems I may have mixed her up with another. She had been harassing my seraph for entry of the lunar kingdom.â Unera eyes caught Abyssia who let out a sigh âThese caused the most problems it seemsâ A scroll clattered to the floor as the one called Eldryn stood up âSo the creatures that claimed godhood will be handled immediately. If we let them continue to live, it may cause further problems down the line, and I am not willing to share my seat with some pathetic attempt of a god. There should be only us, the ethereals and then our lesser gods that we appointed and placed appropriately.â the three goddesses nodded in unison âAnything with them will be removed. We wonât let this go any longer.â
With the agreement between them, Eldryn slowly set fire to each scroll âWe may have to check the other group of gods to ensure they have not been disturbed.â Eyes were now on Gaia who finished her tea with a smile âDo not worry, Iâm sure they are fine and undisturbed, but I may visit to just check in to make sure she didnât reach them. However, I do believe Eldryn and Abyssia, you should ensure your realms are wiped clean of their stain. I wouldnât want your lovely creations to get the wrong idea or make the problem worse.â Abyssia watched as Eldryn's features softened as their eyes met Gaiaâs. She was tired of always seeing them clearly show signs they had affection for one another but never being forward about it. âYeah, I plan to clean up the mess in Hell, I already have Nyxon locked away.â
Unera stood as she handed Gaia a scroll âThis is for you. It seems there was actually an instance of some Greek gods having issues with Nyxon. Sadly, we cannot tend to it since it falls under your jurisdiction. Now Abyssia and Eldryn shared a glance at each other as a sigh left Gaia's lips, reading what was inside the scroll âAh, shame. Just when I swore, we were safe. Seems she weaseled in. Iâll take care of this, thank youâ She pocketed the scroll with a yawn and a quick stretch âNow, everything else is burned and no longer. I will check my realm once more and take care of any strays.â
She looked over at Eldryn who nodded âI will return to Heaven and see to it that there is nothing leftâ With that said, they were gone. Gaia was next to leave. Now it was only Unera and Abyssia in the room âI had a feeling she was a problem. If anything, her power of manipulation seemed to have gone rampant.â Abyssia nodded as she moved to rest her legs on the table now âYou have no idea. Nix? So desperately wanted to be a god and then to kill Lector out of some obsession with my boy of Lust.â
She laughed as she continued âAlso insisted she was Crystalisâ new holder and talked to her all the time. Talk about delusional. Of all the weird things weâve had to handle, Sheâs made it to the top of that list.â She leaned back in the chair, so the front legs lifted off the floor âCrystalis is not some child spirit that talks to anyone. For fuckâs sake, sheâs in a literal prison within a gem-like object. How could she talk? How could anyone even hear her?â Abyssia could feel her anger spiking again âShe didnât get removedâ Unera had grabbed the scroll containing Nyxon information before Eldryn set it ablaze. âHow long are you keeping her with the wardens? I do like Inuki to visit sometimesâ Abyssia blinked as she opened the scroll to read the information within âI figure I can allow them their fun while I see how bad it is. Then Iâll erase her like her children and accomplicesâ She couldnât help but tilt her head as her eyes read over information about something called virtues. âDo you know anything about Charity and it being a virtue?â
She watched as Unera shook her head âNo, but I can call my seraph for that, or you might have to go after Eldrynâ The two let out an exasperated sigh âWhen Inuki is done, Iâll send her your way. Tell the angels they donât gotta miss her too muchâ Just as she stood to leave, a knock was heard and Yunaâs head popped in âoh, sorry if I disturbed youâ She turned to Unera who stood and motioned for the girl to come in. âYouâre completely fine Yuna, Abyssia was heading outâ The smaller female didnât move far from the door, but still bowed towards Abyssia âThank you for your visitâ Abyssia smiled once more at Unera âIâll go bug Eldryn while I canâ With a short wave, she was gone. Leaving Yuna and Unera to clear the room of the chairs and tables.
