After EVERYTHING Emma has been through, yes: she’s getting her happy ending 😭

I’m getting so nostalgic though :( I don’t want to finish ittttt. But I also really need that little break, and that Boromir Lives AU isn’t going to write itself lol.

And since I’m feeling nostalgic, I’m sharing Chapter 1 again, back when Emma’s biggest problem was winning an argument with Legolas 😭

Also, thank you so much to everyone who reads this fic. I genuinely never thought people could get attached to or be moved by an OC I finished creating during one sad, sleepless night. The fact that so many of you care about Emma now still feels a little unreal to me💚

Chapter 39 - The flowers of Ithilien

Oh, I have so many Faramir headcanons 😭

I think he’s incredibly sensitive, much more than he lets people see. I imagine him as deeply melancholic and nostalgic too. The kind of person who remembers places, people, conversations, even particular seasons with almost painful clarity.

I think he writes poetry, and if psychoanalysis existed in Middle-earth, he would have absolutely loved it. He feels like the kind of person who would keep a private journal where he writes about the war, his fear, grief, and the guilt he sometimes feels after killing other men, even when he knows why he had to do it.

I also think he absolutely adores Gandalf. Every time he reads something interesting, his first instinct is probably to want to tell him about it or ask what he thinks.

He still brings flowers to his mother’s grave.

He can cook surprisingly well, he knows how to dance, and there’s something almost Elvish about the way he moves when he does (very graceful, restrained, and precise).

He has far too much patience.

I also imagine him as an amazing father. Very attentive, very gentle, the kind of father who notices when something is wrong before his children say anything. I think he would take their feelings seriously, talk to them instead of dismissing them, read to them constantly, and probably worry more than he admits.

And I love the idea that he keeps a small gift Boromir once gave him hidden inside his armor. No one else knows it’s there, and he never talks about it.

I'm a Legolas (and Eowyn) girl through and through, but there's a place in my heart for every character in lotr and I am fully prepared to fall in love with whoever else you write next 💚🌿

I've actually been writing fanfic for a really long time, just always in Spanish, since that's my first language 😭 I only got much more comfortable with English last year, and I started working with a translator to help me with the English version, especially with nuance and making sure the meaning carries over properly.

That's also why I posted chapters 1–27 of this fic so ridiculously fast, sometimes three or four times a week lol. Most of it was already written! Now I'm slower because I've finally caught up with myself and actually have to keep writing as I go 😂

So whenever I mention the Éomer fic, the Boromir Lives AU, or even the Éowyn one, I can say it with some confidence because those drafts have actually existed for a LONG time. I have way too many half-written things sitting around 😭

There are some things I've written out there, but they're all in Spanish and none of them are LOTR-related.

And there's another reason I stayed away from posting fanfic for a long time. At least where I'm from, there's still a bit of a stigma around fandom and fanfiction. I studied writing at university, and I once had a professor say something genuinely awful about fanfic—that it was basically for people who weren't brave enough to create something of their own.

I completely disagree with that now. So many of us put an enormous amount of ourselves into these stories, and I think there's something really beautiful about loving a world enough to want to explore it from another angle and add your own perspective to it.

But I was 19 when he said that, so... yeah. I absolutely chickened out for a while lol.

Please know I’m suffering with you 😭 I adore Faramir too. I can’t spoil anything, but I care deeply about him and about everything he and Emma have shared. Whatever happens, I’m not treating his heart lightly 💚
