Hi everyone! The first zine in our NOV '24 series is about a magazine called The 70's Biweekly, a youth magazine that combined Hong Kong's local arts and culture scene with left internationalism. We look at it now as a symbol that Hong Kong's politics are not so black and white, and that grassroots leftism in HK existed and how it persists. Hi everyone, we made a zine about an ongoing fight for the rights of "comfort" women from Korea, China, Taiwan, and the Philippines, who were enslaved by the Japanese military. We explored their art, stories, and worldwide memorials.
