post graduation, kurt began an internship at vogue magazine, working there while getting a degree at the fashion institute of technology, eventually leading to a paid position at the company. this year he was given the opportunity to assist with styling a celebrity for the met gala, and, along with that, a ticket to attend the event, crossing off a major item on his personal bucket list.
over the years since graduating, kurt has come back to lima here and there to visit his family, but, for the most part, he encourages them to come to him instead, hoping to avoid revisiting some of the less pleasant moments he experienced back in his ohio school days. he's come a long way since those days, and there's definitely a bit of hesitance on his end about stepping back into the halls of mckinley, but he's hoping that reuniting with friends he hasn't been able to see in a long time will make up for it - and that they're all mature enough now to not break out into fights all the time.
for the most part, kurt and blaine's relationship in seasons two and three is pretty much the same as in canon (minus a couple less fun moments we've chosen to remove). post kurt's graduation, they had a tough, but more or less amicable split, when the distance got to be too much. over the next few years they remained in each other's lives here and there, before reconnecting a couple years ago, becoming close friends again, and, eventually, falling back in love. since then, they've gotten married, and this year they welcomed a new addition to their little family - a baby girl (fathered by blaine and a surrogate), named audrey. she's their pride and joy, spoiled rotten, and the best dressed infant around.
