flee away from people who also apply their stinginess and narrow mindedness when it comes to du’a. You’re asking رب المستحيل who is الوهاب. He owns everything in the heavens and the earth, then why asking small thingys. Ask big giant things, raise your level of dua, don’t settle for anything less. If Allaah gives you all that what you ask Him, it won’t affect His treasures even to an inch.

‏اللهم أصلح قلبي، ويسّر أمري، وبارك لي في رمضان، وتقبّل مني صالح العمل

The older I get the more I realize that waking before Fajr, sleeping early, spending time in creation, taking dhikr walks, reading Qur'an and beneficial books, and eating organic halal meals makes me feel better than all the Western self-help advice ever did.

اللَّهُمَّ إني لا أملك لنفسي هدى، ولا توفيقًا، ولا صلاحًا، إلا أن تهديني، وتوفقني، وتصلحني. اللَّهُمَّ لا تجعلني من المحرومين عنك، وأنا أعرفك..
