When I first joined the fandom in mid-January, there was a general idea that Sarah J. Maas had 10 months of promotion before the release of her book. (and that's why some people thought ACOTAR 6 wasn't going to be released this year)

Then she goes on the podcast, and doesn't answer anything about the books with complete certainty. Because there's still debate about whether it should be multiPOV or dualPOV. She announces the pre-sale of books without covers or titles, probably due to some shitty capitalist strategy.

And I doubt that when those covers come out (probably in July) she will say which couple it will be.

And I understand that the general fandom doesn't care about this, but it's kind of unfair to those who actually have a side here.

I don't even care anymore which one she's going to announce, I just want to be free or very happy.

Meanwhile, the author of Once Upon a Broken Heart announced the new book in February, revealing the title and setting a September release date. Now she's promoting it with quotes from the characters and explaining to her fans whether they should read caraval or not. (Very cute)

And what about us, the fans of ACOTAR? We have nothing. We don't even have any concrete answer about whether or not to read the third book of CC.

I think we all know that Sarah drew a lot of inspiration from George R.R. Martin to write Tog, and that Aelin is practically her Daenerys.

But I wish she would go back to drawing inspiration from Martin to write Elain, and see the work he did/does with Sansa Stark.

Sansa and Elain suffer the same judgment: that they are weak, useless, and incapable of doing anything. When the truth is quite the opposite.

Both girls are traumatized. Sansa saw her father been killed in front of her and was held hostage, and Elain was thrown into the cauldron remade into something she didn't want to be.

Sansa has some phrases like:

My skin has turned to porcelain, to ivory, to steel

They are children, Sansa thought. They are silly little girls, even Elinor. They’ve never seen a battle, they’ve never seen a man die, they know nothing. Their dreams were full of songs and stories, the way hers had been before Joffrey cut her fathers head off. Sansa pitied them. Sansa envied them.

And these remind me so much of Elain; currently in the books Sansa is learning to play the game of thrones, she's becoming a valuable piece, and in the series the useless girl eventually becomes queen, she wins it.

Sansa, like Elain, was raised to be the perfect lady of the house, until her dreams are shattered and she slowly learns how to survive, and that, to me, is strength.

And it's been two entire months and we have absolutely NOTHING. At this point in the game, I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't released until September. My last hope is that some good Samaritan working at any bookstore in the world will go on Reddit and leak it.

Honestly, I think this delay is actually a bit unfair to anyone, including the dark side of the force, and what irritates me most is that it's all geared towards sales. They couldn't care less if the fandom is killing itself; what matters is that even without a title, people are still buying it.

Here in Brazil there's a saying that goes, "Every day a sucker and a crook leave home." The suckers are the ones buying this stuff, and the crooks are BB and Sarah.

Meanwhile, there are books that are going to be released in November and already have covers, titles, promotions, and even some excerpts they're going to include—now that's real marketing!

My personal opinion is that I think Elain and Lucien's story can't be prolonged any longer, and I'm speaking about the characters individually. I think it's time to at least begin this journey.

Koschei also needs to have his spotlight as the main villain, or it's going to be something so bland, and I believe this plot is more connected to Lucien, because he's with Vassa, who is a prisoner.
