Joseph's Life Cycle

Infancy - Early Childhood (Initial Development)

This stage of life:

Celestials develop very similarly to humans

Celestial babies are NOT assigned a celestial body (star, planet, etc.) at birth

Can have any number of parents that create them- made of parents' life energy (i.e. a celestial can have 5 parents! And yes, they are made up of all 5's life energy)

In Caesar's case:

A more quiet, observant baby

Velcro baby

Deeply loves their family even at a young age

Child of two planets

Late Childhood - Adolescence (Official Connection)

This stage of life:

Celestials will connect with a body (sun, planet, moon, etc.)

Children of non-star celestials are far more likely to become a planet/ moon celestial versus a star celestial

A ceremony for discovering their connection happens in early adolescence

As they mature, their appearance will alter to match their celestial body (basically puberty lol)

Teens learn/train until adulthood, then assume full responsibility for their celestial body/sphere

In Caesar's case:

Connects with Earth's Moon

Caesar loses their family in their late childhood

Has no ceremony for their connection, and no one to train them in their role

Quickly becomes short-tempered and reclusive

Early Adulthood (Official Initiation)

This stage of life:

Celestials start independently caring for their celestial body/Sphere (if they are a Lord)

Reside independently (move away from parents if they belong to a new Sphere)

In Caesar's case:

Officially the Moon's Celestial

Takes his job very seriously

Short-tempered, antisocial, doesn't get along well with the rest of Sol's council

The Moon is his only guide, he doesn't trust anyone/anything other than her.

Prime Adulthood (Full Actualization)

This stage of life:

Fully Matured, "physical" form stops aging

Finding partner(s)

Begin to have children of their own w/ partner(s)

At "physical" peak and their magical abilities at their highest

In Caesar's case:

Falls in love with the Lord of Sol (Joseph) & has a child with him (Holly!)

Better temperament, deeply in touch with his emotions

Finally feels true happiness! Good for him.

Still a lowk jerk but trusts others now

The End (Envelopment)

This stage of life:

Most stars will become Red Giants and will engulf planets that orbit closely, this process is respected by suns & planets alike.

Planet's/Moon's appearance change to reflect the changes caused by their sun

Moon/Planet celestials die once fully engulfed by their star

Their life energy is absorbed by the Red Giant

Before death, they are celebrated with a "Farewell" ceremony.

In Caesar's case:

Full acceptance and true peace.

Spends his last moments in his love's arms.

His energy and love is kept within Joseph once he's gone.

While Caesar's youth was full of strife and his lifespan was shorter than Joseph's, he still felt his life was well lived. He passes with no regrets and feels nothing but love in his final moments. I know it's an angsty ending BUT it's the way of the universe. But, eventually, Joseph and Caesar will reunite in reincarnation, and their love will continue on forever :)

I finally sat down and crunched out the Life Cycle of a Celestial! Here's a little breakdown of what I came up with:

Celestial Life Cycle- Joseph

Caesar's Life Cycle

Son of 2 star celestials

Late Childhood - Adolescence (Official Connection)

This stage of life:

Celestials will connect with a body (sun, planet, moon, etc.)

Children of star celestials are far more likely to become a star celestial versus a planet/moon celestial

A ceremony for discovering their connection happens in early adolescence

As they mature, their appearance will alter to match their celestial body (basically puberty lol)

Teens learn/train until adulthood, then assume full responsibility for their celestial body/sphere

In Joseph's case:

Connects with Sol- the sun in our solar system

Lisa Lisa prepares him for his role as a star & being in charge of the solar system

Early Adulthood (Official Initiation)

This stage of life:

Reside independently (move away from parents if they belong to a new Sphere)

In Joseph's case:

Officially the Lord of Sol's sphere

Cocky, Arrogant.

Loves being in power, hates the responsibility

Wants to make his family proud

Prime Adulthood (Main Sequence)

This stage of life:

Continuing to mature

Finding partner(s)

Begin to have children of their own w/ partner(s)

At "physical" peak and their magical abilities at their highest

In Joseph's case:

Falls in love with Earth's Moon (Caesar) & has a child with with him (Holly!)

Far more grounded in his role as a leader.

Responsible, hard-working, but still silly & a lowkey jerk

Late Adulthood (Red Giant)

This stage of life:

As the star transitions from Main Sequence to Red Giant, its celestial's appearance also changes

Unlike planets/moons/rock bodies, star celestials continue to age

Powers become unstable/unreliable

Red Giants can engulf planets that orbit closely, this process is respected by suns & planets alike.

In Joseph's case:

Sol envelops Mercury, Venus, and Earth

Caesar & Holly are gone, but he still has his wedding ring & a pendant gifted to him from Holly

Mars & Gas Giants remain, still under his rule

Pensive, head-strong, and still a goofball

The End (White Dwarf)

This stage of life:

Star Celestials become weak and lose most of their power

While White Dwarf stars burn for a VERY long time, typically its celestial companion will die long before it burns out completely

Once a celestial dies, their remaining energy returns to nebulas to create new stars, and eventually, they will reincarnate as something/someone new.

In Joseph's case:

Planets still orbit him, but he retires his halo

Still keeps Caesar's ring and Holly's pendant

Quiet, reserved, tired.

Takes a while for him to pass on, stays a white dwarf for some time

In the end, Joseph lives a long, happy life. While his time with his family ends up being limited, he carries their love with him as he ages. Perhaps when he reincarnates, he'll see his loved ones again- reincarnation is definitely a big part of Celestial culture. Everything in the universe is cyclical.

Since I've learned about the life cycle of stars and the Big Bang, what will Sunseph look like if he was a white dwarf star? White or black dwarves are the old age of stars. They're very dim and lack the heat source.

This is a great question! I have drawn oldseph as a red giant (and when I say old I mean part 3 old, not part 4 old) but that’s a great concept I need to flesh out

I don’t have the energy to draw it right this second but imagine part 4 Joseph but he’s like pale and ghastly.

He’s thin but he’d have lots of robes on I think. Probably sad cause his solar system is gone :(
