just two people in love.
I'll Be Seeing You (1944)
Ginger Rogers on set during principal photography for Shall We Dance. I discovered today, through research of endless archival documents, that Fred brought Ginger into production rehearsals and blocking on Christmas Eve, 1936, and they worked straight through until filming was complete on the first day of Spring, 1937. There were absolutely no breaks for holidays. No breaks. As ever, Fred kept his rehearsal studio on the lot locked and guarded by a security team. The only individuals permitted to enter the rehearsal room were Fred, Ginger, Hermes Pan, and pianist Hal Borne.
She’s glowing.
Ann Miller and Ginger Rogers in Stage Door (1937)
Ginger Rogers in Finishing School (1934)
Ginger Rogers on the Red Skelton Show from 1963. She co-starred with Jackie (Uncle Fester) Coogan in the first sketch. It is rare...never actually, that my two Tumblrs meet in one post, but here Ginger Rogers and The Addams Family connect. Amazing!
