thinking about louis knowing about armand stalking daniel, and making armand tell him all about what daniel's up to when he gets home, and that prompts armand to remind daniel that louis can be "cruel" and "calculating"... man. what if louis DID know all about 73-85 and how after that, after armand being seen and loved for who he is for just over a decade, all he has left of his beloved boy is watching him from a distance. and how louis would find some sort of bitter pleasure in asking armand to recount everything daniel is without him.

I keep mulling over the detail that Louis knew Armand was stalking Daniel for years and Armand characterizing it as calculated/methodical cruelty. I didn't understand what he meant at first, but thinking back to Louis asking him to keep Daniel alive as a symbol of their companionship, I think Louis perhaps made Armand do it at first to ensure he kept his end of the bargain, and to torture him. That would also bring a new shade to the finale of season two when he told Armand not to harm Daniel; Daniel ended up being a wider part of their relationship than I think anyone originally thought. Imagine Daniel being in the proverbial cuck chair without even knowing it, Christ.
