If looks could kill, I would have been dead 5 years ago when Jessica Pearson started to exist. She’s always on point. God, you can make this woman wear a trash bag and she’ll still look divine in it.

Of course I have! [Laughs] Of course I have, absolutely! There are too many to count. I have been doing this for 25 years, and in that time span, there are way too many to count. And they’re very slick about it. They can’t really say that out loud, but you know what it is because they go “a different way.” And then you see it done, and you see what the different way was, each and every time. And it was the white way.

A:  No, it doesn't bother me.  It comes up when it comes up, and sometimes the writers just kind of want to throw it in.  No disrespect to teh writers but I think part of them feels like they have to say something about it, they have to address it.  And my stance has always been: don't throw it away.  If you're going to bring it up, bring it up, and go to the wall with it.  Don't just say it just 'cause you have to remind the audience of what I like like. [That] you have to remind the audience that I'm not white... THEY KNOW I'M NOT WHITE.
