oh boy!! i knew when i first started out what i was searching for but instead of doing what i initially thought i turned the camera completely around and went for a borderline movie frame redraw lol

i wanted to keep both rocky and grace in frame but because of the framing i just couldnt get it to work. im so sorry rocky :((( next time!!

i really liked how the lines turned out, i'm super proud of that. the colors pop nicely and im glad i pushed through the weird in-between that happened about 2 hours into the process (not too bad!!)

the entire thing took abouttttt 6-7 hours i'd say, i streamed only the rendering part and that took less than 5h. im actually kinda shocked i got it down so quickly but i guess having a bunch of refs really really works out in your favor sometimes!

i'd probably make the canvas even longer if i redid it again but im pleased with the finished piece :)

studied some stålenhags and tried to get the feel without straight up copying a landscape of his. that man draws every fucking blade of grass. upsetting.

anyway! im pretty happy with how it turned out! could've made the second billboard bigger and could've moved them a little bit more to center frame but all in all i think it's a pretty solid piece :) i love doing painterly stuff (though it takes forever!!!!! i think this whole piece took me 14 hours. thats a long time to be staring at your screen and u have other things to do.......like moving. lol)
