i remember watching this show when i was like 12. the furthest memory i got of it was a typical school vacation episode trope.

now that its on netflix i've been able to rewatch it to see if it still holds up to what i remembered.

5 episodes in and i'm genuinely disappointed. unfortunately its not as exciting as i remember it being. The characters are bland and feel stiff, its pretty generic despite its extremely compelling concept of a story, and there's alot of interesting choices.

including making a full grown woman kiss a junior highschooler and then the rest of the episode is just calling her "bitch" repeatedly as the most boring scene plays out. the character tropes only 5 episodes in have been nothing but awkward and unexciting unfortunately. The only thing that seems to interest me IS Koro-Sensei himself. I don't know if I should bother watching this show if its gonna rot my brain just for this yellow creature or just abandon the idea.

I really hope there's more redeeming qualities and that koro-sensei is still an enjoyable character that doesn't immediately give me an ick.
