hello Hope u are having a Wonderful Day!!! is there a good step by step guide to secure a m&g ticket? (or an attempt to anyway) I couldnt go to ii and tit and I've never been to a concert/tour etc so using all the apps and event sites is very new and stressful to me
like do i need to be On It 12 sharp or does the queue start from before..(????)
hiyaa i'll try my best to do a step by step guide but anyone else feel free to jump in with any tips <3
make an account with whatever website/venue you're buying from. (for example some shows are exclusively through ticketmaster and some like london are through the venue itself! double check where your tickets are going live at!) and save your billing info to your account ahead of time.
practice buying tickets to another random show on that website (bonus points if that show also has VIP/extra packages). go through the process and just don't click check out or finalize it!! that way you know how many clicks it'll take
on the day be logged in to whatever your site is (let's say for example ticketmaster) at least 30 min before. the queue starts right at 12 so i'd say be in the window no later than 11:50am. ticketmaster is fucky in that there's no clear cut rules on who gets to be in the queue first other than vague algorithm priority.
you'll be instructed what to do/enter the queue and be assigned a number. DO NOT REFRESH!!! you will lose your place. you can also have a friend/family member logged in on their account also trying so you have double the chance (normally i'm teamed up with a friend and we'll be on the phone while in the queue both trying for 2 tickets so whoever gets there first will grab them)
once you're in you're gonna see the same format as your practice tickets. they'll either be a list of options to choose from or a map of the theatre with a legend to tell you which tickets are which. find the GOLD VIP tickets (make SURE they say gold/silver and not "platinum" as those are just regular tickets that are sold at an upcharge and they're stupid)
DO NOT PANIC IF VIP APPEARS TO BE SOLD OUT! almost all ticket websites make it so they sporadically drop VIP after the first 45 minutes-hour. a lot of people i know got gold after the first mad rush because they stayed calm and kept refreshing (you can refresh after you're in the room buying tickets)
sometimes you'll have VIP in your basket and then they'll be gone by the time you get to the checkout window. this is why it's so important to be logged in and have your payment info already filled in so it's as quick as possible
if you don't get the tickets you want i promise there will be resales all throughout tour and probably some on friday (because people panic buy VIPs when their friend may have also gotten some, people freak and buy an extra because it's there, etc). check out ticketsdan to see if someone is selling something.
