"Would it be too overprotective for us to call and check up on Khai? I miss her too much and I wanna hear her voice." She smiled, reaching for her phone. She took a seat on a lounge chair, patting the spot next to her for him to join her.

"Shit, sorry," he exclaimed when he suddenly bumped into someone who had been standing behind him. "Got a little lost in thought," he explained once he realized it was Gigi. "You okay?" // @gigiotr

She quietly walked up behind Zayn, prepared to scare him but smiled as he caught her before she could attempt it. "No harm done, I'm good." She chuckled, standing next to him with her arms over the side of the boat. "How nice is this? I really needed it."

He started serving Khai her portion before serving himself, mindful of Gigi as she made her plate. "You 'ave to be honest if you don't like it," he warned both women jokingly. Cooking was a hobby of his, so he did appreciate honest feedback even if this was a dish he knew never got him any complaints.

"It's delicious, as always. Right babe?" She asked Khai who only nodded in response, mouth full of noodles. "I think that's a yes." Gigi added, a chuckle falling as she watched Khai eating. "This is nice, actually." She added, the feeling of awkwardness disapating as they ate.

"Cool, she has my number, yeah?" He was definitely an overprotective dad, but given his lifestyle, he had to be. He was just grateful he could trust Gigi's judgment since his recent tour was taking up a lot of his time. Zayn smiled at the pair as he made them plates, knowing their preferences since family dinners used to be a regular thing.

"Yeah, of course. She has all the information necessary. Maybe stop by the house before we go on the trip so you can meet her? I know we'd both feel better knowing who's watching Khai." She added, helping Khai up in her seat.

"Uh yeah, can ya grab some plates?" He asked gently. Despite the breakup, he had to admit it was nice to share a meal as a family again. "It's salad and pasta," he stated, putting the finished pasta on the counter next to a full salad bowl.

"Khai is covered when we go to Greece. Thankfully we found the best nanny ever." She added, as Khai came running to the table. "It smells so good, doesn't it, baby?" She smiled as Khai climbed onto her seat.

"Nah, I have some things I have to get done anyway. Khai give mommy a hug." She called to the toddler who was now playing with some toys. "No, mama stay!" She called, running to hug Gigi, leaving the toys behind her. "I want you to stay." She added, her lip dropping into a pout. "Okay, well how do I say no to that?" She asked, a chuckle falling from her lips. "Go put your stuff away, okay babe?" She asked, as Khai ran to get her stuff. "Looks like you'll have more company after all. Do you need any help?" She asked Zayn, as Khai took care of her stuff.
