there's something so fucking frustrating about the fact that tfone ironhide, a character who barely got one or two lines in the movie, got a blind box and a classic class build kit, whereas jazz, who has visibly more presence in the movie with orion and d16 saving him and him being the one to first speak with cogged orion, got nothing at all. i'm afraid i'll sound like a broken record if i say it's racism again, and yet.

#i fear this is also why we didn’t get anything of darkwing either #since like Jazz he is a notable character in the movie with a prominent design #and it would have made much more sense to have him and Jazz in the first set then say Ironhide and the deathtrackers #wheeljack is also an addition I’m a little mixed on because he does a have very prominent design that does make use of his typical tf quirk #(exploding shit) so I could understand why they might include his cogless form #but I also feel like his cogged form also takes up a space #its just. ugh. i f they wanted to do characters like Ironhide and wheeljack I wish they saved them for a third round or something

How does the aft work?

I mostly subscribe to the idea that robots can't shit, but I'm still trying to figure out a good explanation as to why the afthole is there, and also its structure...

I also enjoy it being more medical in nature alongside the idea of it being a vestigial piece of their bodies in some way or another since maybe with the evolution of fueling or their species they now produce waste in a much different way (like fumes in alt mode) or may not even produce waste at all.

Another fun idea I’ve heard is the idea of the aft port originating in use for a specific group (heavy duty models like miners who would produce waste from taking in unrefined fuel sources like raw energon) but then with the add on spreading as mod or simply never being removed from designs that would go on to be reused, causing it to spread in multiple ways.

Been into the idea of like. Megastar hurt/comfort but with Megs as the one getting the care from Starscream. I think it’s a fascinating little flip since its often Starscream needing comfort (whether it’s because megs fucked up or because something else happened) and Megs is often just this…wall. He holds his emotions and vulnerability in well (save for his temper) and watching him be put in a situation where he genuinely needs care but is shoving it down only for his traitorous second go be the only one who picks it up on it is just gold.

And of course Starscream wants to use this for leverage, the perfect easy victory. But despite his willingness to go low for a shot at overthrowing Megatron usually, there’s something about this that just. Eugh. Rubs him the wrong way.
