'Sup, dudes!

        A player! Those were always fun to mess around with, they always had such bizarre reactions to seeing a skeleton appear in their bedroom. Ink had made it a kind of game for himself, how many different reactions could he get. He always drew them later to laugh at or show Error when he had the chance.

         Sitting in ones room while waiting for them to actually show up was one of the best ways, so Ink had decided to show up WAY too early, just sitting in Flints bedroom sometime early that morning, 

           He’d gone from sitting at the desk to jumping on the bed at one point, and even trying to hide in the closet or in one of his inkblots on the wall.

           It took forever to Flint to actually show up, and Ink’s paint had been starting to wear off thanks to the boredom causing it to accelerate.

           The second the door opened, Ink gulped down one of his colors and threw himself out of the inkblot, slamming into Flints bed in the process and making his head detach.

           He grabbed it and forced it back on, sitting up against the bed and grinning up at Flint as widely as he could.

           [*Hey there! I’m Ink, and you’re Flint! You’re a player! It’s nice to meet you! I’ve been watching you for a few weeks now, I don’t quite understand how human life works but you’re really really boring! So i’ve decided i’m gonna spice it up a little! Any suggestions?]

     Well then!  Flint had always been a fan of the unexpected, and this was definitely way unexpected!  Sure, he was straight up a ghost, and went to a school with a good handful of cryptids, and was dating some elite immortal kid, but he had never had anyone just pop up into his bedroom outta nowhere!  Flint was usually the one to pop up and mess with people, never the other way around. And the fact that it was a skeleton, or rather a variation of a skeleton from that one really cool video game he liked?  He had to give him points for originality.

     Flint just kind of stared and blinked the moment he floated into the room, just to see the intruder slam onto his bed and watch his head fall off then be put back on again. But then he let out a snort-laugh for a brief moment. It was kinda funny!  And it surprised him, which was rare!  So of course he had to laugh ‘cause surprises were fun, and he sure liked having fun.

     Maybe he should have been more bothered by the fact that this Ink guy or whatever had apparently been watching him for weeks and stuff, and managed to get into his house, and knew he was a player, but no. The thing he said about Flint being boring???  He kinda felt like Vincent right about now-- In that, hearing that was basically the worst insult to the highest degree. A total foreign concept. 

      ———  “ Hold up, ”  He gasped, hand at his mouth in mock horror as he flipped, floating upside down to think for a second,  “ Whaddya even mean ‘boring’?  ”

“Awww… that’s so sweet!” Hana gushed as Flint excitedly rambled about his boyfriend. She grinned, “You seem really happy with him. I hope the relationship stays plentiful.” Another small smile, having to stop herself from further blessing it with Lunaria’s grace like most others from her planet would do. Not that she didn’t want to- she just didn’t want to overstep boundaries.

      ———  “ Yeah!  ”   Flint giggled, happy just from thinking about his boyfriend.  “ Thanks!  That means a lot, dude. ”

     He thanked her, though he probably wouldn’t have minded it if she did bless his relationship and stuff or whatever. It’d probably be pretty epic gamer of her!  But there wasn’t much point focusing on that, not when the restaurant was already coming up ahead. And speaking of which, he pointed over excitedly.

“I am?” Wow, that was new. Demencia was just about, well..never right! Or, at least, that’s how it seems. “I mean– Of course I am! I’m almost never wrong!” Well, not really. But she’s going to pretend like she wasn’t surprised that he said she was right.

“Yeah!!!! Concert stuff rocks!” A pause, before she giggles. “Literally! It literally rocks! But at least it’s gonna make your decision easier, or whatever!”

She nods, grinning widely. “Yeah! Chaos makes everything wayyyy better! Anyone who doesn’t like chaos is probably a total nerd or something!”

      ———  “ Hell yeah!  ”   He grinned, nodding at her.  “ Thanks, dude. ”

     Flint usually called it like he saw it. So if he said it, he meant it. And he did agree with her anywho!  He could totally get some cool new job if he ever wanted to, and he kinda trusted her. Though that was mostly ‘cause she already had a job and stuff, while he didn’t. So she must know more about it than him!  That was his logic anyway.

      ———  “ True that!  Omg omg-- I know someone who’s a total nerd and doesn’t like chaos so that fits really fucking well!  ” 

“I can’t see.” it was quick, unconfident, practically a single muttered word. the confession was something he didn’t want to say, but also he couldn’t avoid. and Flint wouldn’t-couldn’t (?) hurt him anyways.

his ears were moving nearly constantly as if searching for every noise. with the confession out, if it was understood, that made sense. he appeared here to avoid breaking any part of the body he was making when this struck. he had no concept of where anything was right now.

Oh. Yeah, Flint could understand why that would be a problem. And even more, considering BEN’s backstory. He recalled his ghost friend saying something about how he ‘liked having eyes’ that one time they talked about how they died. Big yikes right there.

“Jeez, dude... I’m sorry.” He frowned. But now he didn’t really know what to say. Or how to help at all, for that matter. Most of his friends never really experienced sudden blindness before, so he just didn’t know what to do here.

37. …without a motive.

It was forgivable when people bumped into him by accident. Why wouldn’t it be? It’s not like any person meant anything bad when they did that– It was just something that happened in the spur of the moment, with no ill intention. Flint was a fairly easygoing person anyway, despite the fact he’d just some of his soda onto the floor.
