‘Then, Aziraphale glanced over Crowley's shoulder and clocked the mess on the counter, his expression changing to one of annoyance.

“Crow...”

“Don't even fucking start,” Crowley groaned. That’s what he wants to do? Complain more?

“You know,” said Aziraphale, “I’m starting to think you’re doing it on purpose, just to wind me up.”

Crowley feigned innocent shock. “Me?” he said, pointing at his chest. “I would never even dream…”

“Well, two can play at that game,” interrupted Aziraphale, grabbing Crowley’s robe and pulling him flush against his body, all of Crowley’s breath pushed out of him in a surprised huff. When their lips met, Crowley felt something inevitable clicking into place.’

Crowley couldn’t go to Heaven. They weren’t going to turn him back into an Angel. It wasn’t safe for him.

Aziraphale couldn’t stay on Earth and watch it burn.

He didn’t choose Heaven over Crowley.

He isn’t selfish and un-empathetic regarding Crowley and his feelings.

He had to go to Heaven.

He knows Crowley is his match. His partner. His other half. He knows how much he needs Crowley to help him save the world and to be his best self.

He begged Crowley to come because he couldn’t bear to be without him.

But the saddest part is they both thought the other was rejecting him.

Aziraphale didn’t reject Crowley.

Crowley didn’t reject Aziraphale.

They had to part ways.

They have to learn that they’re each strong and capable apart this apocalypse around.

And they’ll find their way back to each other.

They always do.

They won’t resent one another.

They won’t love each other less.

They’ll get this chance to see how much they’re each willing to give and do for the other.

I mean, the angel practically said “that’s right, you’re my bitch” while checking him out
