Slow stitching week 20 - Justice. I put this off for ages because I always think I don't like quilting, but actually I don't like the very precise, fussy quilting my grandma taught me. I very much like the wonky, hand-sewn quilting that's used by the lady doing the slow-stitch group. This is a log cabin variant called courthouse steps.
Slow stitch week 21 - the world's laziest, shittiest K. Did not vibe with the prompt, could not be bothered to come up with something better. I miiiiight go back and work over this with better/fancier stitching.
Week 22 - kintsugi. After the Japanese tradition of repairing pottery. I really like the texture of the thread on fabric of the same color. I also did invisible basting on this, after resisting it for ages, and it's SO MUCH BETTER THAN PINNING THINGS holy shit. My basting stitches are not technically invisible because I didn't have perfectly matching thread, but I can see how they'd disappear competently if the color was right. Learning things! Awesome.
