Deeks, talking to Caleb and Sophia: It’s gonna take a few minutes to cook the nuggets and beans, right? *he opens the freezer* I wonder if—what the—?
Caleb, leaning to look past his leg: Ice cream! Is that lunch?
Sophia: I want chocolate and strawberry.
Deeks: No, we’re not having ice cream for lunch. Kens! Why is the freezer full of ice cream?
Kensi, running in from another room: Hey baby, there was a sale today.
Deeks, bemused: But there’s got to be like forty buckets in here.
Kensi, pressing her lips together: Actually, it’s fifty-five. I couldn’t fit anymore in the cart. *Deeks blinks* Don’t give me that look. They were seventy-five percent off, so of course I couldn’t pass that up.
Deeks, amused now: No, yeah, that makes perfect sense.
Kensi: Hey, you buy discount chocolate after holidays, I bought enough ice cream to last until next summer. It’s basically the same thing.
Deeks, nodding: Sure. Where’s all the other food?
Kensi: There’s a little room underneath all the ice cream. And the rest is in the garage freezer.
Deeks: Screw it, I guess we’re having ice cream for lunch.
Caleb, cheering: Screw it!
Deeks: Perfect.
