Puppy Play tips for beginner dommes and subs that I use with my own pup for many years <3
-Collar and leash with soft material
-Tail plug, small/medium in size, and silicone plug
-Optional: Simple hood/mask, mitts to restrict hands into ‘paws’, knee pads for long periods of kneeling, and bowls to eat/drink from.
Before any scenes, have an explicit, sober conversation outside of role about:
-Hard limits (things absolutely off limits, such as, no pain beyond light spanking, no public exposure).
-Soft limits (things they're hesitant about but open to trying).
-Safe words/signals such as the traffic light system. For nonverbal pups, teach signals such as paw tap, dropping toy, nipping your hand.
-Consent is ongoing. Even in pup headspace, check in (Good boy? Wag if yes). Headspace doesn’t override consent.
-Watch your pups, body language: tail wags, ears/eyes (if masked), whining, humping = positive. Stiffening, avoiding eye contact, or dropping energy=slow down/check in.
Start with non-sexual or lightly sensual play. Strengthen the dynamic and obedience first so sexual elements feel like a natural reward and extension of submission.
-Keep sessions between 15-30 minutes and gradually build up.
-Begin with simple symbols of ownership: collar them and attach a leash. Walk them on all fours around the room to get a feel.
-Use a cue to enter/exit pup space, ex. ‘Puppy time!’ or the sound of the collar snapping on.
-Encourage pup behavior: No human speech, only barks, whines, and growls, stay on all fours, nuzzle your hand/leg for attention.
-Use a firm, calm, and affectionate tone, as pups can get startled easily. Use phrases such as ‘Good pup!’ and ‘Sit for Mistress.’ Pair commands with nonverbal hand signals.
-Remember corrections. Start verbal (No, bad mutt), leash tug, light snout tap, time out in crate/corner, or withholding attention. Avoid heavy pain until negotiated.
-Use treats: human-safe dog biscuits, candies, and small acts of affection.
Core commands to teach first
-Sit: Pup lowers themselves to the ground while staying upright, great for presenting submissively. Sexual position is great with your pup plugged with a tail, ass up, and back bowed.
-Stay: Hold position until released. Can be verbal or using a clicker.
-Come/Here: Rush to you eagerly for play. Reward with praise and treats.
-Lie Down/Down: Belly to the floor, eye contact adverted, or go to bed/mat/kennel.
-Heel: Walk beside you on a leash on all fours.
-Beg: Sit up on haunches, paws up. One of my favorite commands, with pups looking cute and vulnerable.
-Speak: Barking on command.
-Leave it/Drop it: For bratty pups who think they can get away with stealing playthings.
Progressing to More Sexual Activities
-Sensual touch/petting: Start with affection pets, before moving to more erogenous zone. Pinching and twisting their nipples, stroking inner thighs, squeezing their lower back. Praise heavily for staying in role, this blurs into arousal without jumping to genitals.
Here are some activities you and your pup can enjoy:
1. Tail Wagging and Teasing
-Insert a tail butt plug, start small/medium, flared base, and lots of lube.
-Command ‘Wag for me’, having move their hips to make the tail swish.
-Tug the tail gently to pull them closer, spank their ass to make them wag faster, or stroke/grind against the base while praising. Reward big wags with humping privileges or edging touches.
-Throw a soft toy, ball, or even a knotted dildo.
-They fetch in their mouth, crawl back, and drop it at your feet, immediately going into presentation form after.
-Reward successful fetches with oral worship (licking your boots, or genitals). For misses, denial or light punishment like holding a position while you tease their hole or cock.
3. Beg & Reward/Edging Game
-Command ‘beg’; sit up on hunches, paws up, pleading eyes/whimpers.
-Tease them such as dangling a treat or your hand near their mouth and/or crotch.
-Let them hump your leg as reward. Edge them by stroking until they are close, then command ‘Down’ to stop. Repeat until begging turns desperate.
-Phrase ideas: ‘Beg like the needy mutt you are’ and ‘Show Mistress how badly you want this.’
4. Mounting and Humping control
-Allow/command humping on pillows, stuffed animals, your leg, boot, or thigh.
-Control speed/pace, ‘Faster, mutt,’ or ‘Slow down puppy or no cumming.’ Use leash to guide/pull back for control.
-Mount using strap on or ride them. If on top, fuck them doggy style while they stay in pup headspace, preferably barking and wagging their tail.
-Reward perfect obedience with permission to cum.
5. Licking and Grooming Service
-Command ‘Clean’ or ‘Groom’. They lick your feet, hands, thighs, or genitals as a sign of affection/submissive act.
-Make it even messier by having them lick up something, such as edible lube or even their own cum if negotiated. Turn it into an extended oral service as they eat you out while you pet their head.
-Use a knotted dildo/toy for realism, and have them take it in ‘pup position’, ass up, back arched.
-Command them to ‘take the knot’ like a real pup, hold it in, or grind against it while you control. ‘Such a good breeding pup’ is a praise phrase.
7. Naughty Pup Punishment/Reward Mix
-Catch them misbehaving (getting off, humping without permission, etc.) Withhold pets, leash tugs, or corner time.
-Rewards for good behavior can include belly rubs turning into a full body stroking session, letting them orgasm while they bark ‘thank you.’
-Immediate transition out of role: Use a clear signal to end "puppy time" (e.g., "All done, puppy-back to [their name]" or unclipping the collar/leash slowly).
-Remove gear gently: Hood/muzzle last if used (it can feel isolating), tail plug with lube and care to avoid discomfort. Encourage them to stand/walk slowly if they've been on all fours, joints and knees may ache (knee pads help prevent this long-term).
-Wrap them in a soft blanket or cozy robe right away, body temperature drops post scene, and pups often feel cold/ vulnerable.
-Hydrate first: Offer water, or their favorite drink, from a cup or even playfully from a bowl if they want lingering pup vibes, but switch to normal soon.
-Snacks: Simple, sugary carbs help restore blood sugar (chocolate, fruit, cookies, juice, or a small meal like soup/ cereal if they ate from a bowl earlier).
-Gentle touch: Skritches (ear/head scratches), belly rubs, full-body cuddles, or light massage on sore spots (back, knees, shoulders).
-If sexual elements were involved: Clean up together (wipes, shower if needed), and soothe any sensitive areas with non scented lotion and/or oils.
-Verbal praise & affirmations: "You were such a good pup for me," "I'm so proud of you," "I love how you trusted me," "You're safe and cared for." Use their real name to ground them.
-Cuddle/hold them close-many pups crave being "held like a pet" transitioning to human intimacy (lap sitting, spooning). Check in softly: "How are you feeling?" “What felt best?" "Anything hurt or need attention?" Let them talk, or not, some stay quiet initially).
-If they drop hard: Stay present, validate feelings ("It's okay to feel emotional-I'm right here"), avoid rushing them to "snap out."
-Continue some affectionate "handler" energy: Call them "good boy" while petting, offer a favorite toy/stuffed animal for comfort
-Watch TV/movies, play video games, listen to music, or just lie together quietly-some pups want to “decompress" without deep talk.
-Hand feed treats, preferably fruit and chocolate, for aftercare rewards.
-You might feel drained from leading, ask for cuddles, reassurance, or quiet time too.
-Debrief together later, usually next morning. What worked? What to adjust? Builds trust and confidence.
