hot take of the day: folks who add stuff from the late 2010s to "things 90s kids remember" compilations are kinda missing the point? like. you missed the "kids" window of time a lil bit there

Teenagers still count as kids, man. Someone born in 1999 would still consider 2019 part of their childhood. I know I do.

i mean. that's 20 years. also generally speaking i dunno if i would personally consider 1999 a 90s kid since the 90s would be over by the time they even start remembering stuff like that? but that's just me being pedantic really my point is just that once it gets that far from the initial time period we're talking about it seems a little pointless to specify the 90s in particular out of everybody it could apply to lol

we have dandelions EVERYWHERE, they are basically our State Weed, it is absolutely impossible that my mom has never interacted with a dandelion before, this requires further investigation

i have for a while been using stepping on somebody's toes as a metaphor for misgendering. and i genuinely think that it's kind of a good one.

if you give a grovelling begging apology after accidentally stepping on somebody's toes one time you're going to make the whole thing awkward, but not giving a quick "sorry" before moving on is still kind of rude.
